Over priced horrible experience
The hotel is run down. The staff was rude and unpleasant. I prepaid for breakfast for two even though I was alone. They still charged me an extra 15.00 plus gratuity. The elevator was not working and I had to walk down from the 7th floor for breakfast in the morning.

Great view, awful condition.
Hotel is totally worn out and broken. First impression upon arriving in lobby, is hmnn, one broken elevator, worn out furniture and drab. Room was even worse; furniture is worn and scratched and drawers were broke, carpet is thread bare and wrinkled. The doors were damaged, bathroom fan/light did not work, towels were stiff and scratchy and windows were filthy. Restaurant/bar was even worse. Dirty, worn and broke. In bathroom one toilet and one sink were out of service. We were on the 6th floor, so the conditions can not be attributed to the recent hurricane. Bar service was good, but breakfast was almost un edible and service was slow. We pre-paid for three days of breakfast and skipped the last day due to the awful food, and went next door to the Opal Sands for breakfast. The food was excellent in a beautiful setting for less money than our prepaid at the Holiday Inn! For $300/night (water view was great) Plus resort fees! Most outdoor facilities not available due to recent hurricane and also off season, there are many better options near by. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, too bad the facilities are in such disrepair.

Never again!
This Hotel is not in good condition after the hurricane. The pool area is closed and you have to go next door to use the pool on the 6th floor of the neighbor hotel. Although it is not the hotels fault the hurricane caused damage it would have been great for them to let us know before booking our non refundable rooms. We traveled with 12 soccer players who chose the hotel for the view of the gulf and the pool area that is displayed beautifully on the site! It was a real let down when we checked in and got to our rooms. I asked if we could be moved up a few floors so the construction of the pool wasn’t such an eye sore from the balcony and was told they wouldn’t do that because the hotel was booked even though we were there before check in waiting for rooms to be cleaned. We spent the extra money to have gulf view and instead it was a construction site. The hall way to the elevator on the way to the rooms smelled of mold and the room had roaches we wouldn’t have noticed but the kids wanted to make a fort under the table and when they moved it, 4 roaches scattered 🙁 We will not be staying at this location in the future!

The property was under construction because of the hurricane. And booking this online, we did not know that the area itself was damaged pretty well from it, and they were doing construction everywhere. We still enjoyed our stay as we had to fee on a higher lever because of the construction. But overall, they did the best they could.It should be noted the area is under construction. the option to use the pool next store at the hotel. And having breakfast there to partner with that hotel was nice, but it was an added $35 in order to be able to do that once we got there. Overall stay was ok.

We stayed right after the two hurricanes so there was construction underway on the first floor; however, the hotel rooms were very quiet and clean. Parking was available in parking garage and we had use of neighboring hotel pool and restaurants during our stay. Given the situation, the hotel and their staff made our stay very comfortable and would recommend anyone wanting to stay within walking distance to beach and great food to stay here.
