Inexpensive, average room amenities for it to be the King Suite. Floorplan is well laid out, one of the older hotels on the boardwalk, overall stay was nice, no serious complaints. Oldie but goodie.

Uncleanliness room
The room was absolutely disgusting. There were blood stains on the sheets that I noticed the following the morning. The bathroom was barely cleaned properly. Unfortunately due to the uncleanliness of the room my partner woke up with a rash on her legs and had to go to the hospital. The hotel needs to do a better job with cleaning.

The room was dusty. The pillows were very uncomfortable. My #1 issue was I did not get the room I booked even though I paid for the insurance to make sure that I did. Over all the shops and stuff were cool. But i was disappointed in the room not being what I originally selected. And getting out of the parking garage was HORRIBLE!!! I can't explain that enough. They had only 1 exit lane open during New Years! It took over 30 mins.

ok stay - not fabulous.
We stayed at Havana Tower - which used to be very nice. Alot of people and not a lot of security. We prefer staying at Ocean but stayed here because it was close to our party plans. Aside from the convenience of the location - not thrilled with the Trop.

Horrible Stay on NYE!
NYE itself was a good time! The room was a suite and it was disgusting. I found a dead roach on the bathroom sink, the wood floors were sticky, and the couch has potatoe chips in it. The room was gross! I went to the front desk and the woman said “ come back at 12 and we can “try” to change it! No I am sorry, let me see what I can do now, nothing! Every time I asked. I didn’t go back at 12 bc I was inconvenienced again and didn’t want to be bothered on NYE. This should have been addressed right away. I saw a cleaning lady on the floor asked her to give my room a clean over - she said ok barely spoke English- when I got back to my room it was NOT cleaned! Disappointed again. They did absolutely nothing to address my problem. The NYE celebration was overly crowded, (very ghetto) to say the least! Could not get near the balloon drop! The best part of the trip was eating at il Verdi restaurant! The best food and service! But the front desk staff are rude, the hotel grounds are dirty, and for a suite what I paid for was unacceptable!!! AVOID! Go to Hard Rock or Caesars! Or Borgota! THE BEST as we discovered better and cleaner rooms!

Nice stay, great getaway.
Spent 3 nights after Christmas and had a very nice time. The room was pretty nice and comfortable. No microwave unfortunately and small coffee maker rather than a Kuerig. All of the food was good but expensive as well as the drinks. Could use entertainment in lounges. Went to Hard Rock and enjoyed a band.

Disappointing Stay
The Tropicana was unfortunately in an area of town that did not feel safe to walk around in. Additionally, there was no indication, when booking, that the tower we chose to stay in was in the smoking section of the casino. Though the room was non-smoking, it was a long uncomfortable walk through the very smoky casino to get to our room. Additionally, the noise in the hallways and adjoining rooms until late in the night made it difficult to sleep. I was traveling with my 14 year old son and was very upset that the pool was only open until 4:45pm. This information was not readily available when booking our stay. Additionally, the pool water was very low and not at all satisfactory. Sadly I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.
