Noise/heater
The room was right on the Max line and the glass wall didn’t quiet it a bit. Had the heat on all night and it barely made a difference. The front desk had to bring me 2 extra blankets.

Within walking distance to the Moda Center. But also near a train station. Very loud with the clanking and bells.

This hotel was in a great location to walk to the Moda Center but this property is run down. Speaking with the staff it is owned by the city of Portland. It’s very outdated. Wifi speed was 4.5 Mbps at the best of times.

Good things: Friendly staff, amneties work well. Moda center, restaurants, and other events are within walking distance. Room was spacious with a huge window and lots of natural light. The tram runs right outside and I love trains so that was fun for me specifically. Not so good things: The curtain interfered with the a/c by covering it up. The window spans the whole wall so people walking by on the street can see inside your room if you move the curtain away. The bed was as hard as a rock. The tram runs right outside the window and the whole wall shakes. The bell dings can make it hard to fall asleep. The parking garage is a separate fee for $17 bucks. Parking is often full, and nearby traffic is very busy with many vehicles and pedestrians. I booked the room for my kids 15th birthday, we saw a concert. Overall, it's not the worst $150 ive ever spent on a hotel.

The close by Denny’s had us on lockdown for 15 mins while they contended with an issue. The hotel was very busy. A local event.

Great room for the price the only drawback is the MAX train that runs right outside our window from 6am to 1am

6/10 Good

We checked in just after 5pm, night duty was on. He was unfriendly, doing the bare minimum at best; his job required. The woman Saturday am; was also working Sunday am at checkout. Her name was Tara and she was GREAT! Helpful, friendly, and a great overall employee. Saturday afternoon, we did spend hours with two Police SUV’s, 2 coroner vans, and one XL medical examiner truck; taking up most of the garage we paid for, picking up a hotel Guest that OD’ed and passed away Friday night in our hotel. Quite a site for our impressionable pre teen and twenty year old. Then; not Four hours after they carried him out in a sheet ( not even a black body bag - as they do where we are from- in WA) another man OD’d at the bottom of our driveway at the hotel- and about 12 of Portlands finest just stood around staring at him while he struggled to come to. On the upside, besides Tara being great- helpful teaching about the Max )the public Tram) the location could NOT have been better! We were there for an event Saturday night at the Moda Center- and literally booked another stay as soon as we got Home; for next January ( to See another show At Moda! Can’t beat the location location location! Not bringing the kids, next time Tho!

2/10 Poor

This room was barely motel 6 quality and charged mid room prices. Read the fine print they charged 17.99 for parking which brought the price up to be comparable to much nicer hotels in the area. Would not recommend this stay.
