Check in was a sh*t show
I booked first through the Hampton app using my cash app card to make the booking. I get there and they said they didn’t take cash app. Then advised to cancel the booking and rebook using a third party but would have to do the hold fee on a card other than cash app. So in frustration I canceled the first booking, open hotels.com and make another for same room. However as I was trying to hurry didn’t check the date and booked for a few days ahead. Which the. I try to cancel a booking I just made 1 minute ago and hotels.com chat support told me I can’t transfer to desired booking to what I wanted. And is non refundable. I was advised to book again… so with the last of the funds I had. I book for what I originally did. Front desk girl changed and the woman that was “helping “ me was no longer there. I check in, she gives me keys and asked me to swipe my card for the copay… so… I swipe my cash app card and low n behold… it was accepted. The first girl I spoke to lead me to making a mistake that cost me $126 that didn’t have to be used. I hope a bird craps on her head every time she gets out of her car.
If you don’t take cash app, don’t let bookings online make them with cash app. But when you are capable of accepting and you tell someone you can’t. Find another job.
I’ve stayed at many Hampton’s and hotel. This was the worst experience at check in I’ve ever had!
