Don’t book a lower level room
My check in experience was delightful. My room was not as delightful. Sound travels from the hallways into the room. The windows don’t shut properly so cold air was streaming in. The portable heater in the room did its best to warm things up but it was still cold.

Don’t stay here. Look at the pics I posted.
Not the room we paid for. The pictures online are deceiving. The “king” size bed were composed of two twin beds but without a topper so there’s a big dip in the middle.. the bathroom had hair from the previous people that stayed. Tub was rusty and extremely high so and risk for fall. Tile from the bathroom was missing and toothpaste stains were on the tile by the sink… Also didn’t get a bay window.. our window faced some brick wall. Would never stay here again.

6/10 Good

Pros: close to portabella market, close to the tube that gets you around the city, bed was very comfortable. Room very quaint with the decor. I would like to mention my daughter stayed on the property and her room was in the basement.. would not recommend this room. Not comfortable, and seemed dingy and not very clean. Outside the hotel entrance patio there was a pile of trash like a mattress, and furniture.

Great location. Toilet was broken in the room so we had to downsize to another room, luckily one was available. No elevator. Staff was helpful to resolve issues. Rooms were old and musty smelling.

This was a perfect central location for a couple days in London. Proximity to Notting Hill attractions and the Tube are perfect, and the room was good sized and reasonably priced. Attentive, friendly and helpful front desk staff. Would definitely stay here again!

6/10 Good

Lovely room with a large bed, nice food places close by, transport is near, and great tea and coffee options in the room. Bath was quite old/dirty looking. At night when the front door was locked, people were shaking the door to the point it sounded like a break in was happening. Being in the front downstairs bedroom, the window would also shake and rattle when someone tried to open the front door. It was rather scary and unsettling. You can hear people talking in the next room so it’s not super quiet with that either.

Hotel was conveniently placed for me. The staff were very helpful. Unfortunately the room I had smelt musty, the bathroom facilities were not up to standard. The bath taps were loose, the shower was barely more than a sprinkle of water. The bath was marked and damaged. Slightly over priced for the not modern state of the hotel.
