Terrible property – a scam with zero customer service. Our AC wouldn’t turn off, and instead of fixing it, they disconnected the electricity in our room just to stop the AC from blowing. We had to choose between having power or freezing. The room was dirty, the door wouldn’t lock, and there was no responsible staff or front desk available. Do not stay at this horrible place.

No air conditioning - miserable heat in our room - staff lied to us and refused to act on our requests. We told them immediately on check in that the AC was broken; they assured us a technician would come the next morning. This repeated each day and all three night were miserable. Very disappointed as we had stayed here on out honeymoon 23 years ago and my wife lead tour groups to Venice before that who stayed at Messner. Never again!

Good location and walkable to the ferries, but the rooms themselves were not so great. The showers were extra tiny and the room could use a serious uplift. A couple of the front office staff were unhelpful when we asked for help around transportation etc.

This is not worth the money for this hotel if you are getting the apartment rooms they are not attached to the hotel there is no wifi in them and our room was dirty on arrival and couldnt view the room beforehand. We were there for 3 days and only one time was our room cleaned and bed was made for what we paid for was not worth it it was $900 canadian for 3 nights would never recommend anyone to stay here

Don’t do it!

Horrible Hotel. Beware! After a horrible check-in we were directed to our “quad room with a double and two twin beds” overlooking the canal. When we arrived we noticed we were given a double bed with only a futon. The front desk agents were grumpy and unkind. They didn’t want to help at all. Alas I slept on a single futon with an 8 year old WILDLY UNCOMFORTABLE. The hotel itself is falling apart. Our door frame was held together with a strip of plastic that we could literally open the locked door with a good pull, definitely didn’t feel safe. The air conditioning is not controllable because they have taken the remotes, leaving you with whatever settings they see fit (ours was set at 23 degrees). Finally walking up the stairs there is wallpaper peeling off showing mold behind it. Save yourself a headache on your Venice adventure and do not book this hotel.

It was a good start but one thing I really disliked is the fact that the air conditioning was set at 27 degrees celsius and we had no control over it ! The room was really hot so sleeping was really uncomfortable! No fridge and no safe .

Bad choice

Staff were friendly and helpful. The condition of the hotel is really pool. Olds and rusty furniture. Water marks almost everywhere. No room service. Breakfast very basic. Too pricey for this amenity. They charged us $239 non-refundable then they dropped the price for $149! No compensation! Far way from the main lobby. Lots of stairs and no elevator.

Terrible front desk service in the evenings, day staff very freindly. No AC, our shower wall and tub were filthy. Tv in room had a wide white stripe going down the side couldnt watch tv. Reported ac not working a second time other guest in lobby shared they were having same issue. Terrible description of hotel at time of booking. Stay away! Youll thank me for it.

Terrible hotel

The hotel is terrible for the money find a different one ,, is under Construccion Do kit book to get there at night is scary just to walk in ,, the person at the front desk lie by telling us we had breakfast included ,,o Lu to have us have breakfast there wich was terrible for 22 euros ,, the other guest were pickpocketed a couple of feet front hotel ,, the bathroom had a water leak and was always wet ,, there were mold ,, the rooms smelled to insecticide and my asthma was tigers, tried to leave the hotel and get a new one and they would not refund any of the 3 nights that we had spend there ,, if you are working for a special trip stay away from this hotel ,, there was a dead rat outside ,, total miss and the pictures on website are desiving

We enjoyed our stay the staff were amazing, our room was spacious however the bathroom is screaming for a makeover the ceiling was incredibly mouldy and the shower and tiling in bad condition, unfortunately when we arrived at checkin other folk were extremely annoyed about the condition of their room and were demanding another room they said the hotel was posting photos of rooms that did not exist was misleading advertising another lot of folk were angry about the aircon remote which only the hotel staff operates so our aircon was on 24 hours a day at 24 degrees feel this is not environment friendly should be switched on and off. The location is amazing walk every or get the Gondola taxi 2 euros to St Marks square the staff will help you with directions on how to get around the quicker ways.

The day I reached hotel was nightmare for me . Number issue 1. No left 2.cleaning zero 3.Ac is not working. Ac water dripping at room. 4.there is no alternative for ac like standing Fan .5. Bed room light flicker like short circuit.6.Bathroom there is no exist fan.7.hotel staff are not cooperative . I ask for room change they said there is no room available and I will not pay for cancellation. I request for refund.

Dieses Hotel ist nur für Gäste zu empfehlen, die gerne kalt duschen, da es in den Zimmern KEIN WARMES WASSER gab. Angesichts dieser eklatanten Mängel sind andere Unzulänglichkeiten wie der Abwassergeruch, der verstopfte Duschabfluss und die beschädigten Sanitäranlagen völlig nebensächlich. Die Angestellten reagierten darauf lediglich mit dem Hinweis, eine Beschwerde einzureichen. Das Restaurant blieb am Abend ohne Angabe von Gründen für Gäste geschlossen.

Utterly dreadful

The photos on the website are so far removed from reality. The room was a disgrace. It was pokey and small. The carpet is faded and knackered, the furniture is falling apart and battered, the fabric wallpaper was coming away, there is mould in the bathroom, the shower was dreadful and had an awful lip on it which was sharp and you can catch your toes on, the bed was like two camp beds pushed together, the WiFi doesn’t work at all, the tv on the wall was wonky. Even the corridors are horrifically shabby getting to the room. The rooms are in a separate building to the surprisingly nice but tricky to find reception, but that’s where the good bit ends. I’m surprised this place has any stars and is not worth a fraction of what I paid.

Cheap stopover

Cheap stay in Venice to get a connecting flight elsewhere. You get what you pay for with this hotel. It's a little tired and shabby but it was perfectly clean, the service was excellent and my stay was nothing like some of 5he fantastic horror stories on Google.

Worst hotel..full of mold!!!

Not only that the people were rude but the place is full of mold I have to be out most of the day because I was afraid to get sick. The advertised Smart TV in Wi-Fi we never got five when we went to the receptionist they did not accommodate us at all. Wedding Felix arguing so we left it like that not TV no Wi-Fi. The only good thing about that hotel was the servers at the restaurant..

Hotels.com allow this dump

Where do I begin? Hotels.com.and hotel Messener both need investigated. Lets start with the hotel. What you see is not advertised. Believe me. Mould, damp, electrical switches broken and exposed, broken furniture and bed bugs plus much more. I checked in and 20 minutes later right back out. I suffer from respiratory health issues. Hotel messner and hotels.com would have been paying my medical expenses should i have stayed. But dont worry! Hotel messner and hotels.com re booked my Room and BOTH REFUSE to give me my money back, oh and tried to say the hotel don't speak English. Dont worry I have a video they do! Check my pics, since hotel.com say I'm lying. Local polizia has closed this place down on more than 1 occasion due to not being fit for purpose

Some electrical faults? Maybe its a new EU standard?
