I booked a reservation months in advance based on the location and pictures; at the time of booking it said rooms in the area were selling out fast or some locations had no rooms left for the dates I needed. The day I go to check in the hotel staff informs me that they are not honoring pre-paid reservations. They also informed me that the hotel has not been taking reservations via third parties for the previous two weeks. They informed me that there was rooms available but I would have to pay them directly and then I would get a refund through Expedia. The room and hotel didn’t look like the pictures and were not the cleanest. The room was possibly used as a storage since there was two older mattresses near the restrooms. The day came to check out and submitted my request for the refund via Expedia chat and was later emailed informing me that they can’t get a hold of the hotel property manager. I submitted photographic proof of the sign saying they were not honoring reservations and also provided a direct contact phone number for the person in charge of the hotel. I was once again told that they couldn’t process a refund. I called the hotel supervisor and informed them Expedia was not honoring my refund; he then informed me that the hotel itself used OYO properties in the past to confirm reservations but they were having issues with fees and payments through OYO; he suggested to tell Expedia to contact them. I have yet to be contacted regarding my refund!
