Glacier Inn is not a hotel, it is a home. It only has shared baths, but advertises as having private baths. The man who met us at the property was very rude. DO NOT STAY HERE!

This is not a hotel/inn. This is a four bedroom residential house converted for guests. There are two shared bathrooms even though we reserved a room with private bathroom. The room was small and just big enough for the two twin beds. No control over temperature and had to open window to cool room. We could hear people in the adjacent room. No TV in room. Luckily we only stayed for one night.

This is not really a hotel. Our room opened to outside like a motel. The room was small, basic, clean and comfy. Perfect for an overnight stay.

It was a house shared by about 3 other groups. Basic but clean. We were able to cook a few meals there which helped cut down on cost. Going out to eat in Iceland is EXPENSIVE! Never saw the host but we checked in and out fine. The house is a little hard to find only because there is just a small sign on the door and not in the front of the house. It’s in a good location to sightsee around Höfn. We were satisfied with the accommodations.

Don’t stay here
This place is very misleading. First of all it’s more like a hostel than a hotel. It was very expensive and was just a small room with 2 beds and no private bathroom as stated in the description. It is actually a house that you share with others and not a hotel at all. There was nobody to check us in and it was not easy to get a hold of the owners. Sharing a tiny bathroom with 8 strangers was horrible. You can’t control the air temp in your room and it was SO hot. To cool it off you have to open a window (no screens) and the bed is directly below the window. No blackout curtains either. You can hear EVERYTHING in the rooms next to you. It was a horrible experience.

Nice but needs managee.
This hotel is house in what looks to be a residential neighborhood which is fine. It is a modest sized house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms living and kitchen area. The bathrooms was nice but you had to dry the floors when finished. Still ok. Bedrooms was small still ok. But they had 14 people in this house one night and the other was 10 people some of which was small children and running screaming. Nice family but too many people for such a little house. They didn't change our ththe towels and linen like most places do when you stayed for multiple nights. That is something that always gets me.

This guesthouse is well-located and offers a comfortable living room, dining table, and well-stocked kitchen for guest use. There were 2 bathrooms that each had showers shared between about 5 guest rooms, which was a better ratio than several of our other guesthouses offered. The room itself was quite small without much room for organizing our belongings, but it was comfortable and clean and great for a one-night stay. We checked in with the hostess via an intercom system at the door, which worked smoothly. I would definitely consider staying here again.

OK for one night
There is no front desk in this building. Our room is clean. There are two shared bathroom without hair dryers. The kitchen is big with two refrigerators. I feel it's a bit pricey for what we got (compared with other hotels in Iceland).

I was very pleased with Glacier Inn. It's not really an Inn. It is 4 rooms sharing a house. My only disappointment was sharing bathrooms. I knew this going in though. The house was sparkling clean. Luckily, all of our fellow guests were nice and considerate of other's needs. This is important with rooms only big enough for your beds. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Very very small
The "Inn" is actually a family house, where you stay in one of the children's rooms. While it is nice to stay in the kitchen and living room area, the room is really tiny for two people. We were lucky there was only us and another family in the evening, I can hardly imagine all 4 rooms full. Also, we did not receive any instructions for self check-in and had to wait for the keys person to arrive.

Stayed two nights and the back half is the house was like a zoo with people coming and going between the four rooms for let sharing two baths. Hostess left her car idling as she quickly checked people in and seemed rushed. Was not able to park in the driveway the second night but street parking is ample. Only place we stayed without a hair dryer which was an inconvenience for my wife. Apparently they bought one when they opened but it broke same day - easier not to get another one than return a defective product.

Good guesthouse.
Nice little converted house. Safe, clean, friendly and well located. Two shared baths for four rooms, nice big kitchen and living room. Decent prices too.

It has a beautiful view of the glacier.
There were a few things that could have been improved on 1) microwave, 2) fix the broken facet in the kitchenette 3) some sort of a table or bench in the shower. More counter space would have been great.

It’s not marked. This is a house. It would help if we were told ahead that it’s a house. Also, it would help a hole lot if instructions on check in were emailed to us after making reservation. We never got instructions, and after a long day, we just wanted to rest.

Just a little more work.........
This recently remodeled room has great potential but needs to be completed. The plumbing fixtures in both the kitchen sink the shower and the toilet were new, but barely attached, the bathroom mirror was just propped up on the counter and a few of the overhead lights weren't installed yet. Just a little more work and this room would have been perfect.

Give this a miss
Just like a student hostel only MUCH more expensive. No key codes emailed so arrived and could not get in. Do not have phone so cannot ring. Another guest helped out with her phone or we would have had to sleep in the car!

Don’t stay here. Pass this one by.
There is no Inn. There is no check in. Unprofessional innkeepers who are only interested in you taking your shoes off, not parking on the street and making money. Chaotic check in procedure and impossible if you are not traveling with a phone. Owners blame any confusion with check in on the website you used and not with them. They only seem to be familiar with AirBnB and not interested in fixing the check in procedure. I have since learned it has happened to others. Wasted a lot of time trying to check in and find the place. It is a tiny house on a residential street with four small bedrooms with locks on them with small shared living space. Great if you are missing frat life. Technically close to golf course and beach but not in usable sense. Very mis-represented. There are lots of nice places to stay in Hofn. This is NOT one of them.
