Good hotel needs to improve customer service.
I made a reservation for a superior room. Quoted price for the room was 180k COP. Upon check in was not advised my room has been downgraded and also charged more for a smaller room 200k COP. I asked the young girl at the front desk that this is not the room I reserved as per the website. She advised me the pictures are not reflective of the rooms available. I asked her then why is the a price difference for the rooms on the website which You chose to advertise por potential customers. She advised me that the booking I made two months in advance is oversold now. As I won't be able to stay in that room. I asked her why then would you charge me more for a room of lesser value then the one I reserved. No response. I said would you be offering me any complimentary services. Nothing was offered. Upon checking into my room the air conditioner was not working. When advised to the gentleman working at night a new room was offered.
The staff at the hotel are great. Slight improvements needs to be made for better communication.
Upon check-in should be advised if my room is available or not. Also offered some form of compliments due to the issue to offset the inconvenience.
Also advertise accurately the rooms which are available.
As a customer I would appreciate being offered what I paid for. If it's not available to some unseen or uncomfortable circumstances the hotel should take responsibility and accountability and offer some form of compensation.
