Excellent hotel

The hotel was beautiful and close to Georgetown. The staff was friendly and professional and our suite was comfortable and large. I wish we could have stayed for more than one night! The only things I didn't love were the room was dark (facing the interior "courtyard" and on a low floor) and the shower was not well lit. Overall, though, it was one of the best 4* hotels I've stayed in.

Stay at the melrose is always good, the staff is friendly. This trip we encountered issues with the valet checking out saturday am 5/10, they tried to charge us for 2 nights and we were only there one night it took almost 30 min to retrieve the car.

The location was great, and that's why we picked this hotel. Our room was clean, but the services ignored to come on the second day and clean. The room provides complementary tea or coffee (good brand), but the creamers were out of date. The overall staff is very friendly. The property is little run down and needs some renovations.

Cute boutique hotel

Cute, reasonably priced hotel in the cutest neighborhood in DC. Easy to walk. Did not have a car but it was easy to get places quickly. Trader Joe’s across the street, which was great. Friendly staff. Good value. A little dated in the rooms - carpet is pretty dirty/stained; some peeling/bubbling wallpaper in the bathroom and our sofa at the end of our bed had a big water stain on it. We also had a problem with the a/c - that never really got resolved - and had to change to rooms on our last night. Still, all of this did not detract from the stay. The bed was comfy, the sheets and towels were clean, the hotel was quiet, lobby and common areas are beautiful & we felt safe. Would give this place another try.
