Good location
Good location close to centre and airport bus stop. Traditional property recently refurbished. Basic rooms, no air con, fridge or TV but good breakfast included. Friendly english speaking staff. You need to ring the door bell to get access!

A Gem in the Coche de Toro Neighborhood
A wonderful place to stay in Santiago. Start with the staff and ownership--so friendly, spoke Englished, loaned us an adaptor for our phone charger, let us leave bags on the day we were leaving so we could tour the city, helpful recommendations on food and sights to see. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom spotless, the towels and linens first class! And the breakfast, well plan on spending a lazy half to one hour with the great coffee, pastries, cereals, eggs, meat, cheese!!! Finally, Casa Conde is located in an old neighborhood with a good vibe and just a block from the main Santiago throughfare and the subway. When we go back, this is where we will stay.

Wonderful stay!
A very clean, safe, & beautiful hotel close to the airport bus & other metro stations. All the receptionists, especially Mayra & Fernanda (sp?), were very helpful, kind, & welcoming! There’s also a common space where you can play records & relax. Highly recommend this place in Santiago!

The property has a very warm and home feeling to it. The breakfast was really good and the staff were so helpful! Manuela was incredibly helpful with the questions I had about the area and hotel transfers as well as speaking great English. I highly recommend anyone coming to Santiago to stay here. You won’t regret it!

Charming stay
We really enjoyed our stay, the service was outstanding and the breakfast plenty. Having never stayed in Santiago we thought it was a great location, Brasil was the neighborhood. We felt the place needed some TLC, the original floors creaked and groaned, and were quite slippery especially the stairs. The other comment was the fact they locked the front door from the inside, each time they would let you out! We felt it was unsafe incase their was an issue to get out in a hurry. MAYA was amazing and gave us great guidance and was super friendly.

Super service
Aside from the impeccably clean property, the perfect breakfast, comfortable beds and bedding, the staff were extraordinarily helpful and service oriented. Everyone was very friendly. The property is unique and old and close to a variety of restaurants. We enjoyed the stay and highly recommend.

The Casa Conde is a charming, historical building. We were on 3rd floor and had to carry our luggage upstairs - good workout! The room was very quaint and clean. Unfortunately it didn’t have air conditioning or a television set. We missed the a/c as it was hot during our visit. Breakfast was provided and was very well done.

The bed was comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet, the hotel was clean, and the staff was amazing. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was close to the metro. It was as described, a throwback to old world Santiago. Therefore, there was no air-conditioning or TV. But there was a fan, plenty of hot water, quality food for breakfast, and amazing staff. They really cared about helping me plan my stay and making sure that I had a safe and fun trip in Santiago. The location was great. It is in an historic part of town. Very little traffic. There are no elevators so if you cannot climb some stairs, this is not for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend it for a different experience than staying in big hotels that are similar all over the world. I was there for six nights and I would go back.

4/10 Fair

This is a tough review to write. There is lots to love about Casa Conde and I'll identify some of them … but we wouldn't stay there again and u wish I knew these things before we booked there. My wife and I stayed two nights in late January, as we were passing through Santiago. The positives: wonderful resident owners who really seemed to care about their guests. An interesting property, a grand old house converted. A delicious and varied breakfast. A location very close to the metro and within easy walking distance of many sights. Quite reasonable priced. Clean and everything worked. Our room was very quiet. Not so good: the building is old and built for residential use. The floors squeak, a lot. You hear movement overhead. Our room was quiet in part because the windows faced air shafts, so there was no view and no breeze. Possible deal breaker: there's no a/c so if you are staying in hot weather you had better be okay with a very hot room. Our room was much hotter than the corridor even. They did supply a large floor fan when I asked, which made it bearable, just. The definite deal-breaker: guests are locked in. I don't believe you can get out of the building without the staff coming down two floors to unlock the front door. We had an early flight and needed to leave early; there were no staff visible. I saw a set of keys so I took them down and was able to unlock three separate locks to be able to exit. The hotel no sprinklers visible; it looks like a fire hazard.

Different and good
We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Chilean trip. Not your average hotel - no tv or AC, but an elegant old home in an interesting area. Having to call staff to enter or exit seemed a possible problem, but the staff were invariably prompt, even when we had a 4 am departure. Nice to have a cup of tea or cold water in the afternoon in the beautiful old dining room. Staff consistently friendly and helpful.

Flavia at the property helped make our vacation. She greeted us at midnight with our late flight. She secured taxis and ubers for early excursions. She greeted us with a smile when she made our breakfast each day and the food was great.

Okay, honest review - if you are looking for the following: - fancy flat screen tv - air conditioning (temperature when we were there was 34 degree C) - in room coffee/tea facilities then this isn’t the hotel for you. On the other hand if you want: - the personal touch from the most helpful, friendly and informative staff I’ve ever met in a hotel - staff with excellent English - an immaculately clean, quirky and individual hotel - convenience for some great restaurants - a hotel dog!! then this IS the place for you 😀 I’d highly recommend this place for your stay in Santiago.
