NYE!
We were hired to dj a New Year Eve party at the hotel and decided to book a room for the evening. The room was clean and comfortable. We were able to fit all our equipment in the room after the event which was a plus as we prefer not to leave it in the vehicle overnight. Staff was all kind and extremely helpful.

Some good, some not.
I was traveling for business. Some positives: The breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable (except the pillows), and the shower had hot water any time of day. Negatives - the pillows compressed into very hard blocks, they were testing the fire alarms, the elevators were not working the last day, and the stairwells smelled like cigarette smoke. I have stayed at this hotel at least a dozen times in the last 5 years, and this was the least comfortable. Except for the breakfast, which has improved greatly since the last time.

This is such a beautiful hotel in a prime location. Whether it's a weekend lovers getaway or a busy business trip, Hotel Topeka has it all. Although on the more pricey end of things it's worth every penny in the end. To the friendly and helpful staff to the hardworking and thorough hospitality crew.
