Comfortable and friendly stay
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel decor is dated, but it was still a very comfortable stay and very clean. I would stay here again. It's convenient for the town centre, the marina and the harbour front.

10/10 Exceptional

Great value for money
I stayed on the saturday night, unfortunetly the people in the room next door came back from the pubs and clubs drunk and caused chaos, it was impossible to get any sleep as they were basically having a party in their room, so in the early hours of the morning i had no choice but to pack my bag and leave, thankfully i rang up the next day and beth the manager could not of been any nicer towards my situation so much so i was given a complimentary nights stay free of charge to make up for the money i lost by having to leave, beth went out of her way to be has supportive as possible, the hotel is nice and comfortable, but because its directly opposite all the pubs and clubs i would advise not to stay at weekends, the breakfast was also very nice, overall its a great hotel for the prices they charge, great value for money and the hotel manager beth is an absolute treasure.

4/10 Fair

What a nightmare!
The hotel room was tiny and could of done with a good clean, there was a private party on the night i stayed which resulted in very loud music and rowdy people up until 3am in the morning so it was impossible to sleep, one of them was even so drunk they were trying their keys in my bedroom door mistaking my room for theirs, the hotel is also opposite all the pubs and night clubs which dont close until the early hours, so this combined with the private party that was going on inside the hotel meant it was impossible to get any sleep until well after 3am, why would you throw a party until the middle of the night knowing you have guests trying to get some sleep is beyond me, the hotel could also do with a revamp as its looking very old and dated, back in the day this used to be the best hotel in town, but these days its a shadow of its former self, none of the staff even told me there was going to be a private party that night, if they had of done atleast i could of prepared for it with ear plugs etc, the room also wasnt ensuite meaning you had to share a bathroom with the rest of the hotel, all in all it was a nightmare experience and having a hotel directly opposite all the main pubs and night clubs meant it was a night of no sleep, i wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a good nights sleep!!!
