It’s expensive - I’ll just come right out and say it. But nice things cost money, and the W Osaka is definitely a nice thing. Chief among my needs when I travel, particularly with family, is a QUIET room. Comfortable beds are icing on the cake. We were on the 24th floor and had an incredible view. It was absolutely silent at night and if I had died in one of the beds I would have been okay with that. I made daily use of the pool and hot tub on the 4th floor (I swam every morning and then relaxed in the glorious hot tub). One suggestion - 0630 is - little late for a pool to open. I would have been there at 0530 if it were open. But 0600 is when it should open. It’s a little silly that they don’t throw in breakfast given what I paid, but even if they had I wouldn’t have eaten there - after all we were in OSAKA. Employees and staff were top notch - they let me check out a little late on my last day to accommodate my 6pm flight back to LA. I should also comment on the location. It is FANTASTIC. I’d initially booked a different, much cheaper hotel until upon further investigation I realized that this other hotel, while quite nice, was on the outskirts of the city. Certainly one thing you’re paying for at the W is its location in the heart of Osaka action. All in all, I will definitely return.

When in Osaka..
I always had a pleasant stay at any W hotel. W Osaka continues that experience. From entering the spectacular decor to every encounter from the team members. A++++
The room is what you would expect. Clean, plenty of ammenties, and worth the price considering where youre staying at. I will definitely visit W Osaka again the next time I'm in Osaka.

W for Weak Service
We booked the Fantastic room but they gave us the 8th floor, which floor to ceiling windows faces an office building around 9 meters away and workers can see everything inside our room. This is a very crowded hotel with 27 floors, can't believe we pay the same price as Four Seasons for such poor view on a low floor.
The decor was nice and hip but service was the biggest disappointment of all, not the same level as other hotels charging same price
1. Staff seems very young and inexperienced. And many of them show an expression like they hate their job and don't want to deal with any hotel guests.
2. Couple times getting off a taxi at the entrance, there was no hotel staff to greet us and help us with bags
3. Room cleaning: phone cables were left hanging on the floor. We changed bedsheets once and at night we found blood stains on *fresh* sheets
4. Turndown service was always merely a bucket of ice, which always melted by the time we came back after dinner.
Breakfast service:
1. chairs and tables were dirty, always one or two food scrap on table or stuck between gaps of leather chairs.
2. Disorganized staff.
3. Walking path is narrow and staff always walks before letting a guest pass.
4.We were led into the breakfast restaurant before a table was cleaned and ready. The staff made us awkwardly wait in the middle of everything while looking for a table for a few minutes.
