8/10 Very good

This hotel was very centrally located in Venice; very close to San Marcos Square. Pretty outdated but I expect most hotels there are. My real only complaint was our “king” bed was literally just two twin beds pushed together with zero effort to keep them together. They separated every night. The shower head was off its wall attachment to you had to hold it in your hand. There is breakfast provided but unless you only eat croissants, you’ll prob want to eat elsewhere. Coffee was great, though! The hotel was quiet and safe and in a great location which I find the most important when traveling.

Lovely hotel in a great location. 5 mins walk from St Marks Square. Although the furniture and fittings were a little outdated, the bathroom was modern and it was very clean

We’ve stayed at this hotel in the past so thought we would give it another chance this year. We only stayed 1 night this time. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly. Upon arrival we wanted to shower however the handle to turn the water on was broken, completely off. Upon calling the front desk, no solution was provided. Not a great experience and won’t be returning.

For the price and amount of space and privacy we had, it was a good deal. There were broken floor tiles in one of the bedrooms and was potentially dangerous for bare feet, and there was a bit of trash on the floor (plastic bathroom cup) when we arrived. The decor is definitely outdated but was comfortable. The bathtub was large but we didn't have time to use it except to shower. The bidet was right in front of the toilet making the area a bit awkward. We had to wait several minutes to check in because there was no one manning the front desk. The breakfast was free but disappointing. No eggs, no fruit, only pork for meat choices. It was nearby many restaurants and shops and was a short walk to local attractions.

Large rooms, poor experience
The room was outside the main hotel, but was very large. One aircon unit was very good, but the others were poor. The breakfast was limited and not good quality

4/10 Fair

The only good thing about this hotel was its location. It's very close to San Marco square and not far from the water ferry. Other than that, the AC did not work very well in my room. It did output cold air but was very weak. There did not appear to be an option to increase fan speed. On further inspection, the unit appears to be very dirty so perhaps it needs to be serviced. The shower was another issue. The water temperature was inconsistent and despite ensuring the drain was opened the entire way, water would pool in the tub indicating there is some type of partial blockage. The rooms are very dated and didn't feel very clean. The lighting is also extremely dim in the room we had. Additionally, there is no proper luggage storage option. When we arrived the staff member requested we place our bags in the public hallway under the stairs until our room was available for check-in. Many bags were left in hallways which after doing a quick check I didn't observe any cameras. Because of this, my wife and I decided to use a luggage storage service nearby which we were not too happy about. I brought up the water drainage issue and AC issue to the front staff and was told someone would come by later to check it. I never received any follow up. Thankfully, I only was there for 2 nights... All that said, despite having a great location, I would not recommend this hotel.

Location great. Saint Marc's two minute walk. The room was in need of a lick of paint but for the money quite OK. Beds comfy. Bathroom shower had issues but it didn't bother us to much. It did everything we needed it to. Again for the cost it was OK.

2/10 Poor

Bed was as uncomfortable as sleeping on a cardboard box. The tap had no running water so we had to wash our hands in the shower. There was no shower door so water flooded the bathroom anytime anyone was in the shower. The airconditioning sounded like we were sleeping with a motorcycle gang having a rev off. The location was great and the reception staff were lovely but it would probably be a nicer place to sleep out on the street rather than here.

2/10 Poor

The plus for this hotel is its location, right in the center of the touristic area. Our first room wasn't comfortable. The AC didn't work, no hot water for the shower, both shower heads worked together, the fridge is a closet. The staff was kind enough to switch us to a much better room for the second night. This one was much better, and the fact that the shower door wasn't there was acceptable, compared to what we had before. Breakfast is nothing special, coffee is tasteless, servers don't smile, too much noise in the kitchen, you would not want to mess with them.

6/10 Good

The location of the hotel was perfect. The first room we had was awful: no real AC, no water pressure for the shower, shower heads didn't function properly. The staff was very kind to switch our room for the second night, so we had a good shower and pleasant sleep. Breakfast looks good, however nothing special and the coffee doesn't taste like coffee. Kitchen staff should learn to keep the noise level down, and maybe smile sometimes :)

The air conditioning sucked and when we asked them to che k it the rude guy at the desk said that is just the way it is. Then he said he looked at it and it is working but he never came up. Also the included breakfast was very poor quality.

I was sweating in the room. The fridge didn't work. The air con was not cold. Luckily the room has no smell like the review said. The front desk person is nice and friendly. The service is good, just that the room is old and not maintain well. The location of the hotel is good.

After coming back to the hotel after dinner it was hard to find someone available to give us our key to our room. When the front desk person finally showed up, he active irritated that we were irritated for having to wait so long for him was not very friendly.

Take the water taxi from the airport to Piazzo San Marco. A short walk from the dock to the hotel. I didn’t know that and ended up walking over an hour to get to the hotel. It was easy to find but my husband’s back was injured and walking all the bridges and stairs nearly had him file divorce papers. lol. The hotel is nice and has an elevator. The air conditioner did not work properly but I opened the window and was fine. I did get a few mosquito bites so be aware of that.
