Refurbished hotel but poor service

Hotel has recently been refurbished and looks good and rooms have been refreshed with a good shower area. The beds are poor rock solid and not a great sleep. Biggest disappointment is pool closed when 20 degrees and the staff are not very friendly. Rude in the morning at breakfast demanding room numbers, slow service and at the bar with stressed staff trying to serve drinks and make food.

We booked this for our first time in Barcelona. Whilst a little way out of the centre, we really wanted the pool. For the little commute you have into the centre we found it really worthwhile. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us. All of the staff we encountered were happy and helpful. The room itself is a good size, basic but very clean and the bed was comfy! Petrol station with small shop next door, this was excellent for the basics of water, snacks and drinks. Staff in there were also happy and helpful. We will definitely be back to Barcelona and wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again. Very good value for money.
