Small room, but great value for money
While the hotel room is small, it’s all you need if you are spending most of your time exploring. The hotel was clean and had amenities readily available and staff were great. Our group also took every advance of using the Onsen as it was an equipped with a bath, sauna and cold plunge.

Nice hot spring with night snack of ramen. Good location with 5 mins walk to sunshine city shopping mall, very convenience and air bus service over there as well.
We’ve been to Dormy Inn twice and plan to return for a third time! Love the Onsen ❤️

Gets My Repeat Business
Stayed here last year, happy to book this year, too. In a quiet but convenient part of Ikebukuro, which itself is a great spot. I used the included onsen every night, and it’s a wonderful way to wrap up the day. Tons of great little amenities (Yakult in AM, ice cream at night) add up to a wonderful stay. See you next year!

Absolutely amazing. Will be using again in the future when we can get back to Japan! Fantastic location just being a five minute walk to Sunshine City that had everything we needed, and ten minutes walk to train station that let us explore easily.

Awesome stay!
This is a fantastic hotel. It's a little bit far from Ikebukuro station (15 minutes on foot) but it's worth the slight hike. The room is small (as expected for Japan) but the amenities are absolutely amazing. There are just so many freebies given by the hotel, including free ramen and popsicles at night, free Yakult in the morning, free juice in the onsen rooms, free laundry wash (you do have to pay to use the dryer but it's only 100 yen for 20 minutes so it's not expensive at all), and of course, free coffee and toiletries. The onsen is amazing here. They have three spacious baths - a black water bath, a rotemburo (outdoor bath), and a cold bath. The hotel even has an extensive manga room! It's no wonder Dormy Inn is as popular as it is in Japan. I'm definitely going to stay at a Dormy Inn again!

A Lovely Long Term Stay
Convenient location less than one block from Sunshine 60 and two blocks from the Sunshine City entrance.
Absolutely incredible buffet breakfast: Japanese, Chinese and continental. There's also free ramen at night.
Very comfortable and just loved the onsen (spa) area. There's free ice cream in that area at night and free milk drink in that area during the day.

Great find!
I’ve travelled to Japan at least 2x a year before pandemic and just started to visit again. A friend rec’ed this place because I love onsen. I usually stay at Metropolitan hotel on the other side of Ikebukuro.
I simply love this place! Onsen every day! I also appreciate the washing machine (I can bring less clothes!) All of the service I need from the business hotel is all here. The staff does speak some English (google translate on phone also goes a long way.) The limo bus doesn’t stop here but stops at Sunshine City Prince. Which is only 6 minute walk away. I will definitely stay here from now on!
P.s. the breakfast buffet is worth the price!

Loved the hot spring with complimentary probiotic drinks, ice cream bars and late night noodle service. Room was basic but clean and adequate. Would be even better if it was closer to the train station but there is a large shopping mall down the street (Sunshine City) .

We had a great stay and visited the onsen every day/night and enjoyed the ‘already paid for but didn’t seem so” yakult in the morning and ice-cream at night before/after the onsen soak. Half-portion ramen was also available if you’re hungry for some warm comfort food on a cold winter night or before you hit the sack. A rather disappointment was the cleanliness of the room carpet where many strands of hair of all lengths and colors were uncovered every day and night. Not sure if it had ever been vacuumed. Breakfast was one of the best we had in the past 13 days and 4 different hotels.
