Nothing like our first stay and would not recommend to anyone. This hotel is definitely run by penny-pinchers. Again, the room A/C was not on when we arrived, but at least this time the day’s high temp wasn’t so oppressive. Room floor was dirty, could see footprints & dirt tracks on vinyl flooring. The fridge was off & smelled like death. When I called to report it broken to the front desk, the employee Nidhi was rude and rather than send someone to the room, she had us verify the fridge was plugged in. In order to see the cords & plugs, we had to tilt the fridge and move the giant cabinet it & the microwave were in. Who knew that a fridge would plug INTO THE MICROWAVE which is then plugged into the wall?!? And no, the MICROWAVE was not plugged into the wall. SMH. So we plugged in the microwave, and cranked down the fridge temp but the rotting animal smell never went away so we couldn’t use the fridge. But the fact that Nidhi jumped to the conclusion of the fridge not being plugged in makes us think that this is a common occurrence, probably because housekeepers are told to unplug appliances so the hotel doesn’t have to spend money on their energy bill. Cheap practices IMO. Also, tilting the fridge resulted in a giant water spill on the floor. We had limited towels in the room but had to sacrifice one to the spill. But the towels are junk here anyway so we just skipped showering. After this second stay, we recommended everyone SKIP this place and maybe Santa Rosa completely.
