My daughter and I stayed here overnight while attending a play at Shakespeare Company. It was perfect for our visit. Location was great - could walk to downtown Lenox. Rooms were beautiful and historic. Grounds lovely. And the hosts were charming. I enjoyed hearing about the history of the house at breakfast - which was delicious. Highly recommend

A lovely old innwith a kind and thoughtful hostess. Excellent value in this area. Every room decorated with beautiful older objects. Well cared for, but dated. Beautiful gardens and excellent breakfast. I will return again.

It’s a beautiful, large, antique house. We stayed in probably the smallest room - petite chamber. I’d read reviews about the size so it wasn’t a surprise. It’s probably around the size of 8 x10 feet. Being from NYC, the smallness didn’t bother me. The breakfast was great! Hosts were great, overall a good experience.

A lovely retreat
The hosts are wonderful, there are great books about the Berkshires, and lovely places to sit in the library, the music room, porches, and parios.

Good location
House needed some upgrades. The place was a bit warn. Beds were saggy. Communication was a bit lacking.
Great breakfast and beautiful gardens!

Crammed in at the Whistler’s Inn.
Our goal was to find a place to sleep while attending a concert at Tanglewood and the Whistler’s Inn adequately satisfied that need. It was clean, quiet, and the staff was very friendly. And the Inn is very well located for our purposes.
However, it would be hard to imagine a smaller room. The twin bed (not the queen bed as advertised) filled almost the entire room. No space for our two small suitcases. And no way to sit in the room without lying on the bed. We were crammed in.

The electric available was very limited. The house was built mid 1800’s which added to the charm, but there is a musty smell. I saw some being served scrambled eggs at breakfast, but when I asked the woman there was unsure. It was just odd. It was definitely convenient, but I will stay somewhere next time I go to Tanglewood.

While the main Inn was very nice, the staff very pleasant & the breakfast excellent, the accommodations that we were first offered were unacceptable. The rooms were in a remote location from the main Inn & they were in deplorable condition-moldy, in need of upgrade & generally unacceptable. We were moved to a room in the main house for one night, but had to find other accommodations 35 minutes away for our second night’s stay.

Love the older inns. The folks who greeted us - Richard & Lisa with the pup Holly - were lovely & helpful. Learned the backroad approach to Tanglewood & arrived at the Brandie Carlile concert in 7 minutes. Definitely staying here again!

My room was tiny but the Inn hostess was very accommodating/hospitable. The house was reminiscent of an English country BnB. Lots of stories have clearly played out in this old estate house. Right across street from lovely church and cemetery filled with pre-revolutionary war souls and a short walk up the hill from Lenox Main Street.
