Gets the basics down, then try some flair
It didn't start off well. I had reserved a handicapped accessible room. When I hobbled myself to the front on my forearm crutches they said, "we don't have that room anymore, is that a problem?". Seriously? That was why I reserved an accessible room.
After telling them that yes, it would be an issue, they magically had another handicapped room available.
The room itself was less than inviting. Their was poop stains all over the toilet and the comforter was dirty as hell. The "handicapped accessible" shower included a tiled and sloped ramp up (aka a damn slip n slide). The only natural light was from two tiny windows a foot tall at ground level in the bedroom, and the rest of the lighting was terrible. I honestly couldn't find a location anywhere but the bathroom to be able to see the lettering in my book.
The fire alarm went off at 2 am the first night, then the clock alarm left set by someone before us went off at 5, and the front desk called at 8 to get us to try to do their timeshare tour.
Someone said a flyer under the door saying the laundry room was closed due to a boil water notice. I'm a water engineer. My boxers arent going to give me giardia. But why did they not notify us to not DRINK the water?!
Their taste in "art" was terrible. Again, I say that as an engineer. Gluing a chair to the ceiling is not cool or artsy. Maybe invest in some overhead lighting instead.
Essentially, the only redeeming quality was the location.
