Gets the basics down, then try some flair
It didn't start off well. I had reserved a handicapped accessible room. When I hobbled myself to the front on my forearm crutches they said, "we don't have that room anymore, is that a problem?". Seriously? That was why I reserved an accessible room. After telling them that yes, it would be an issue, they magically had another handicapped room available. The room itself was less than inviting. Their was poop stains all over the toilet and the comforter was dirty as hell. The "handicapped accessible" shower included a tiled and sloped ramp up (aka a damn slip n slide). The only natural light was from two tiny windows a foot tall at ground level in the bedroom, and the rest of the lighting was terrible. I honestly couldn't find a location anywhere but the bathroom to be able to see the lettering in my book. The fire alarm went off at 2 am the first night, then the clock alarm left set by someone before us went off at 5, and the front desk called at 8 to get us to try to do their timeshare tour. Someone said a flyer under the door saying the laundry room was closed due to a boil water notice. I'm a water engineer. My boxers arent going to give me giardia. But why did they not notify us to not DRINK the water?! Their taste in "art" was terrible. Again, I say that as an engineer. Gluing a chair to the ceiling is not cool or artsy. Maybe invest in some overhead lighting instead. Essentially, the only redeeming quality was the location.

2/10 Poor

Very pushy timeshare salesman.
Upon arrival, walked in there is a desk of two people who looked like they worked there told them I needed to check in and find parking. The man working there started talking about timeshares. I told him my husband and daughter needed to know where parking was. We had 2 cars holding up traffic. He proceeded talking about a parking garage we could use if we went to a seminar the next morning. I asked if there was parking for the hotel. He said yes but it’s unsecure and pretty far from the hotel but he had a garage we could park at the was secure and down the road that was free as long as we went to this seminar. I told him we probably didn’t want that. He continued to give me his speech while my family was still holding up traffic. This process took about an hour. I told him I would just like to check in and get parked. He sent my husband to his parking garage 5 blocks from the hotel and then proceeded to set me up for a timeshare presentation. I told him I don’t think we want to do that. Then he said we would have to pay for the parking which would be $50. That was fine. I again asked if I could check in and he told me I had to go to the check in desk. Didn’t bother to tell me an hour before check in was the other desk. I think his name was Demichael

Location, service, room size, everything was great! We stopped by early to drop our bags, and the desk got us our 2 rooms together and ready earlier than expected. You needed the room key to enter the building and use the elevator/stairs so we felt very safe. If I had to give one negative, the street noise was a bit loud. We would stay here again for sure!

6/10 Good

My overall stay was good. The place was clean the staff was very pleasant. The bed was supposed to be a queen, but I actually think it was a full size and very uncomfortable. The pillows were old and flat. They need to updated the bed and pillows.

Location was on the edge of the French Quarter so you can still get a good night's sleep. We were in town for 9 days and used this as the second location. The room had a full kitchen minus a stove top. It came with full dishes and microwave and fridge. The decor was interesting and pure New Orleans culture. The chair on the ceiling in the one bedroom suite was entertaining. Friendly staff but they were knocking on the door at 9:55am asking when we were going to leave. That was off putting. We were just double checking to make sure we had everything. A couple of more minutes and we would have been catching the elevator to meet 10:00 am checkout. There are renovations going on so limited amenities during the time of my visit. I would stay here again

I reserved a 2 bedroom and they did not tell me until we got there to check in that the 2 bedrooms were under construction so they gave me 2 one bedrooms. I think I should have been notified before I got there since I reserved it months ago.

Funky little boutique hotel central to everything in the French Quarter. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were eccentric and fun! Comfy beds, huge shower. Will stay here again!

8/10 Very good

I was given a room in the building adjacent to the main hotel, which made it feel more like staying in a guesthouse rather than in the hotel itself. Compared to the main building, where I had expected to stay, the space was more cramped and didn’t provide a strong sense of security due to the overall structure. Additionally, there were cockroaches in the elevator area, which added to the discomfort. On the positive side, the room itself was charming, with a unique and distinctive design
