We had not received any communication from the property until the morning we flew to Bari. Not knowing whether we had antwhere to stay that night, we booked another accommodation.
The property owners said that not confirming details until their guests had begun their journey was perfectly acceptable and refused to refund any money.
It subsequently came to light that the contact details they had lodged with Expedia were wrong so we were unable to contact them by phone or email.
Not entirely their fault because Expedia should have made sure the contact details were correct but that is something the property owners and expedia should sort out between them. In the end we were the ones to made to suffer by ending up having to book a second accommodation with no refund given for circumstances which were not our fault.
Can't comment on the quality of the property because we never saw it but communication and customer care were atrocious. Book somewhere else if you want to be sure you have somewhere to stay before you travel.
