Rooms are very bare
The rooms were very basic. Not a lot of room to put your toiletries in the bathroom on counter space in the room. There were signs saying it was a non smoking floor. I smelt cigarette smoke as well as cannabis which was very disturbing. Location is great.

Old reno but still not great
This was clearly an old hotel that was renovated. The room was nicely renovated, but the hallway looked like a dormitory or homeless shelter. It looked really dirty. The room was extremely noisy because it was on Collins avenue across the street from a nightclub and the road is busy all night long. And the credit card used to hold the reservation was charged and asking staff to refund it and put it on a different credit card seemed to be a difficult task for them. Clearly put out, but did comply. And then asking for a review....

We’ll be back!
We had to evacuate with my parents and cats because of Hurricane Milton. The hotel was extremely accommodating. It’s a great location and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Comfortable mattress, lots of soft pillows and comforter. We enjoyed the location so much we’ll be back but under better circumstances.

The day before the trip I had a strong familiar delicate situation. I informed immediately to hotels.com to help me changing my dates and/or refund money. They spoke with the hotel manager and he was very indolent in not taking my situation into account, refusing any support me, even knowing the severity that it was for me. The lack of consideration with the customer is very sad.
