More peaceful and affordable than Tokyo, with good shopping and nice environments. I loved the park with views of the monorail over the pond, and I enjoyed the waterfront as well.

Excellent
Chiba is fantastic! It has everything you need to explore. The Aeon Mall is there along with so much history if you venture into historical Chiba.

The seaside running course was very nice with mixed views of modern buildings, pine trees and ocean. It was convenient from the hotel for morning runs!

Chiba is a smaller quieter city compared to Tokyo. I like it but it's not a tourist town. Tokyo is still 45 min away by train. Nothing special about Chiba but it has everything you need. Things don't stay open late and not much of a night life.
"Top notch comfort and service. In a quiet area, but walkable to all the action in Shinjuku, including Shinjuku station. Limo buses from the airports will also pick up and drop off at this hotel. The restaurants at the hotel are also excellent."
"The hotel stay was a great option for travelers not wanting to be in the busiest parts of Tokyo. It is quiet and there are enough amenities for the everyday need. You will need to use public transit and/or taxi to go to restaurants or shopping. In conclusion the hotel and staff are great and you're not too far from Shibuya and Shinjuku. So if you don't mind having an authentic Japanese experience by using public transit(which connects directly to the hotel) then the Hotel Villa Fontaine is a good option for the price."
"I really loved this hotel. We enjoyed our stay here and definitely coming back again. The location is good and has a lot of dining restaurant nearby. Very clean hotel, lots of amenities and free shuttle going to Disneyland/Disneysea and going back to the hotel. Kudos to the staff, all of them are accommodating, very nice and helpful. And one more thing, OMG! The breakfast buffet is superb! Highly recommended! "
"The hotel is really nice but the area around it is not! It’s night club areas that we didn’t know it was… and every other night there’s drunk lying on the street! And in some areas, the garbage are dumped high on the street!!"
"Stayed here with my daughter and we enjoyed it. Trains stations are near by, walking distance. The shopping mall is convenient which has a a lot of food options and things to buy. "
