This hotel is dated but the inclusion of the spa makes it a worthwhile place to stay in Grindelwald. It needs to be modernised but it is pleasant enough, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the breakfast is excellent.

At checkout you will be charged 5 francs if you lose the keycard. Never experienced this before. Room was clean and the Mountain View was awesome. I had great experience staying at Hotel Spinne. I was traveling solo, and the room for one person was perfect for me. The room was clean and spacious with a big patio and the view of Mount Eiger! The bathroom was a bit small but I had no problem with it. I also spent time at their spa after a long day of hiking, very relaxing! The location was also very convenient - in a walking distance from the train station, restaurants, and shops.
