This is a lovely historic property with a great restaurant. The only thing that could be improved is the WiFi. It was non-existent in our room and in the public areas we were required to give personal information and allow our phones to be tracked to use it. We chose not to.

The staff, food and surroundings were wonderful. Who wouldn’t want to sleep in a building built in the 10th century. Would definitely visit again

Historical old inn with lots of character.
The Porch House was a comfortable choice for a one night stay. The staff were friendly and the room clean and bed really comfortable. The inn is very old and has lots of character, but the bedroom and ensuite bathroom were quite small.

Don’t Miss Out!
As a lover of history, you cannot find a better place that a spot that has been operating for a thousand years! Clean, comfortable where the staff are super friendly and welcoming. If you want to immerse yourself in the Cotswolds, start here! The food at the restaurant was amazing as well!

Average stay
The staff were lovely and the food (breakfast and dinner) were fantastic! The room unfortunately was just average (especially considering star rating), with a comfortable bed but tiny bathroom, no control of heating and the only small window opened onto patio/parking, meaning was quite noisy. Also no service during our stay meant we ran out of basic amenities on 2nd night.

Great England experience in a 1000 year old inn. Central and authentic. Loved the room over the entrance with views all around. Didn’t mind banging my head on the door frame too much, but I am 5’7”! Great pub downstairs. Not modern but that is what we were looking for.

We loved the staff and the character of the Porch House. The building wraps itself around you and feels very old and welcoming.
We were sad not to encounter the ghost that some people have encountered in our room! The bed was comfy and the pillows a delight. We would come back again and next time hope to see the ghost!

Travelling through the Cotswolds.
Only a one night stay but stay was great. From check in staff, bar and restaurant staff and the cleaners we met when we arrived and departed were all great, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is excellent for a real taste of the Cotswolds and our meal in the restaurant in the evening, and breakfast in the morning were great also.
