Christmas @Hotel WO Seoul
I had a nice time at Hotel WO, it is a very convenient position to Seoul station and quite place at night than some of the big (star) hotels I know. I appreciate the owner's warm welcoming and smooth communication. Thank You!

Couple motel
Room smells like smoke although we thought it was a non smoking room. The title of the “hotel” is misleading... it was a love motel and the bathroom smells like mildew...

“Love Hotel” with very little love
I opted for cheap and cheerful but it was far from cheerful. I mean the room itself was fine I suppose, bit dusty and a pair of old looking and quite dirty rubber slippers in the bathroom. The check in system was a joke, it was a machine and a phone in the corridor where you have to ring a person to give you a code to get a key for a room. They barely understood English and I could barely understand them. We got into the room and everything seemed fine, small rips and scratches on the wall which can happen (especially for the money I paid) it had basic amenities kettle, tv, bed, robe, room slippers etc. In the amenities draw with the toothbrushes my other half noticed that there was a small pack of condoms also and there was a desk with a full on desk top... now I’ve never stayed in a room that provided protection or access to a desktop within the room before. My other half then commented to say this seems a little odd and seedy, and further said it seemed like a set up for a “love hotel” and sure enough the reviews advised of sexual noises in the other rooms of the hotel and we also heard these noises on the second night of our stay. It was horrific, definitely would not recommend staying here. Though it is close to the main station.

The worst stay
Dirty. No housekeeping. Too small. Its just a place with a hooker or prostitute. They did not clean my room while staying. Weird bad tub, that the water is out of the bad tub and drain outside..... Ridiculous price.

This is a love hotel
Great location, just a 10 minute walk away from Seoul Station. However, upon entry, I realized that this was a love hotel and could hear my neighbors viciously going at it. I also found several strands of pubic hair on the towels, beds and table. It was quite disgusting to be honest, but for what I paid for I can't really complain.

Couldn’t do it
I booked here last minute when my flight was canceled and arrived late at night. At about $200 a night, I thought it would be decent. I was disappointed to see an ashtray in the room but when I saw a can of roach spray next to hairspray like it was normal, I turned around and left (even at 11:15pm). They would not refund me (was in the room 5 minutes, long enough to find another hotel). What a disappointment and total waste of money!

Affordable with reasonable price
Get the best out of what you pay. Hotel has everything you need. The only thing you need to know is that the hotel is close to bus stop ot around 10 minutes walk from subway.

Good location near KTX and subway stn. Stayed 3nig
Hotel has a great location within walking distance to the ktx and subway stn. From the hotel you can walk to the main attractions in seoul like Sungnyemun south gate, Gyeongbokgung palace, Deoksugung palace, Seoul tower, cheonggyechon stream, and many of the street markets. We visited most of the street markets on foot in a day. (Definately stop for some deep fried ice cream!) The hotel was a little bit hard to find as its on a back street and looks a little bit worn on the outside but inside it looks modern and nice. The rooms were cosy and had all amenities plus the hotel provides a lot of free items including water and free welcome drinks in the fridge. They also provide free face creams and shaving gel, condoms etc. Yes, its a love motel, but don't be put off because of that, its not sleazy at all! On the bad side, the plugs in the hotel room were really loose so the connections kept stopping e.g. the fridge stopped working during our stay, charging our phones etc. was a bit of a pain as it kept disconnecting and so stopped charging, the plugs occasionally fizzed after plugging something in. So I would suggest that the hotel replaces their extention chords and gets that fixed as that was the one that made me give the hotel a lower rating. Other than that I would definitely recommend it as its cheap and for the same price in that area of seoul you'd only get hostels with shared dorms/bathrooms, so if looking for somewhere more private, go here!

The rooms are insulated for sound and the aircon works. The water pressure on the shower is good. Otherwise tiny, cramped room. More of a pit stop for drunk couples at night than a real hotel.

Wrong room assignment
when i arrived, they gave me a smaller room than what i booked and none of the size i booked was available because they were not done cleaning them. we left our bags in their office and went out for the day wihile waiting for our room. we returned to a cleaned room and the staff gave us a couple's package for our wait. very nice and helpful staff. the twin room is plenty big for us since we just needed a place to sleep. it's nice that they provide bottled water and a couple of cans of tea/juice. they have a hot/cold water dispenser which makes it convenient for instant coffee (provided) and instant ramen (daughter's snack). the room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided. they had a fully stocked bathroom(shampoo, conditioner, & bodywash). the room also have hair spray, body lotions and what smells like cologne/after shave. great affordable place near Seoul station. we walked to the station daily to travel around S. Korea.

Good place to stay for one or two nights
I stayed alone at Hotel Sarangbang for one night while spending the weekend in Seoul. It was good for the price. Small, clean, warm, and comfortable. If I had had a lot of luggage, space definitely would have been an issue, as the full sized bed took up the majority of the floor space. However, the bathroom was surprisingly roomy, with a strong-pressure shower. I was given complimentary toiletries and bottled water, coffee, tea, etc. Despite other reviews, I found the location very easily. It's right where Google maps says it is. Simple as that. Also, it's close to the subway; very convenient. My one complaint was that I heard my neighbor open and close their door several times during the night. It was loud and clear through the wall, and was a bit annoying. Overall, it was a good experience. It's very possible I'll stay again.

Decent hotel, difficult to find
First this is the most difficult hotel to find in Seoul. It took me two hours to actually find it since the gps takes you through alleys that dead end at people's homes. The bed is a typical Korean style, which means harder than a rock. Parking my vehicle in a narrow alley since there is nowhere else to park, then either you have to have the hotel wake you up if another patron needs to leave or vise versa when you need to leave. Other than that it was a decent hotel for the price

Absolutely not worthy
Location: Locating the hotel, was not at all easy, very tough time despite speaking to the hotel staff several times over phone. Finally the taxi costed us more as he was going in circles + International Roaming charge. ore importantly the car cannot reach the hotel due to a very narrow lane and we were forced to carry luggage for not less than 50 Meters Check-In time 2:00 PM: But it took 5 hours to allot the room. Room was not ready, after 1 hour informed that there is a fault, hotel staff wanted us to go around in the city & call after 2 hours to find out the readiness, Finally allotted to us at 7.00PM. No willingness for any sort of compensation excepting apologies. Room Facility:-No proper towels, Only hand towels & no toiletries. No proper bedding. No space to keep Luggage. Eventually the room was cramped and not at all convenient for 3 people. No Room Service / No Restaurant Check-Out: The hotel does not accept credit cards and surprisingly USD too. Over All: - On the whole we were extremely disappointed and just managed to spend our ' one night' and escaped out of this place. - Absolutely no value for money....and for sure we will not recommend this hotel to any one!

Hard Beds
The hotel is located close to Seoul Station, which made it convenient arriving and departing to the airport. Take Exit 4 when arriving from the airport train. You will see a brightly colored children's hospital in front of you. Turn to your left and head down the street. Cross over to the other side of the street and continue in the same direction. About 5-10 minutes down the street you'll turn right up a side alley just past a small open car wash and just before a moped store. (We did a Google street view before we left so we knew what we were looking for.) There is a small sign that says hotel. There is smoking allowed in the hotel in the hallway, but we didn't smell it in our room, although there was an ashtray in the room. There is complimentary bottled water and tea and coffee you can make with the hot pot. The bathroom is quite large, but there is no shower curtain. So when you take a shower everything gets a bit damp. The beds are the one reason I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It was like sleeping on a box spring...no exaggeration at all. It made it hard to get a good night's sleep. One more note, if you arrive at Seoul Station via the subway, do not use Exit 4. This is a different exit from the Seoul Train Station Exit 4. The best way we found to get back to the hotel was to use Exit 1, follow the signs towards the airport train and exit at the original Exit 4.

good location, no housekeeping
Hotel Sarangbang is conveniently located close to Seoul Station. The room was small, but adequate. The plumbing worked poorly. There was virtually no storage space for suitcases...or coats...or wet towels! Our biggest complaint, however, was that there was no housekeeping service. We stayed for six nights and during that time, the hotel did not bring clean/additional towels or make the beds or clean the bathroom.
