Me and my fiance stayed here this october going into November and I can honestly say it was a breath taking experience, our main man Paul was our man with the plan made sure our room was nice and tidy everyday me and my fiance made sure to tip him good for his service. I definitely want to come back here someday soon.

This was my second stay and I will use Big 8 again. The hot water working was a major improvement from my last visit. As always, the staff was super friendly, helpful , and professional. Food was good, just wish that the bar at the pool had been open.

I really enjoyed my stay at Big 8 hotel. Accessibility and parking were easy and convenient. Their pool was large enough to enjoy with other guest. Workout room was adequately supplied with equipment. The best part was the staff. They were friendly,courteous and welcoming. I definitely will stay there again.

Was disappointed
Booked this hotel because it had a pool, even though it was more expensive. Upon checking in I was notified that the pool is closed until further notice. Was also told the phones are not working. Room was outdated. Went to the restaurant, which is supposed to be open from 6am to 10pm. It was closed. Also had to kill a few cockroaches in the room. On the plus side, the staff were super friendly.

Unless you get decent rate or you need to stay in Tagum probably avoid. Free breakfast is good rooms ok but shower looks dirty. Pool is disaster area. Dirty structures and broken pool coping. Little or no attention to maintenance as been performed since opening in 2016. Has the appearance of being run by chinese investors which have little regard for business upkeep.

I have stayed here off and on several times this year visiting relatives - weddings, babies, etc. The hotel is wonderful. Staff excellent. Rooms comfortable. Gym and pool, cafe, breakfast buffet all clean and lovely. The hotel itself and the the parking garages have security guards 24 hours a day. Very safe and clean hotel

We stayed here because we have functions to attend. We booked 2 rooms. Honestly, we didn’t have a pleasant sleep, we can hear loud noises from the karaoke bar til almost 12. Aircon did not work properly, blowing cold air directly into my face. Staffing service good.

The staff was incredibly helpful, professional, and courteous. The room and bathroom needed a good deep cleaning. The hotel showed some sign of wear, but overall is very clean. The room was comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The free Wifi was good, but spotty. The food was excellent, the free breakfast buffet was different every day. The restaurant and coffee shop were good as well. Excellent parking. My only complaint was the lack of hot water in the shower. Some days it came close to hot, but mostly barely warm to cold water. I will use this hotel again.

Hot water wasn't working. Charged a fee when 8 friends met us there and brought a cake into the dining room, it didn't matter that we had just ordered meals & drinks for everyone. Wanted to charge us a fee when we brought our own snacks to the pool area which was more than ordering their snacks. Charged a fee to get pool towels and even gave us wet ones (gross - were they used and not washed?). Charged a fee to use an iron and ironing board (per hour). Staff was pretty awesome actually, facilities not at all.

Maintenace of 2nd room left a lot to be desired shower door not closing, extractor fan not working water in sink very slow running. TV channels very poor offering. I have stayed at BIG 8 many times and enjoyed my stay on this occasion not so much. I believe the hotel is investing money in refurbishing various parts they really need to look at some basic items within the rooms to ensure guests comfort as well.

This place would be grate if they had hot water I stayed at another place after staying there witch was cheaper all because they had hot water for what big 8s makes for money from guest you would think they would have hot water as well the WiFi stop working hours after being there so yes really not good.

Booked 2 rooms and both has no internet connection in the 6th floor nor telephone access.The staff are very accomodating and would try to help you. However, the room rate is not worth the price. Room beddings are not clean. No internet access on rooms only in lobby. Breakfast is no good options either.

To expensive dump
First night I got a room to the main road where big trailers horned and motorcycles without exhaust damper made extreme noise all night. The windows where single so I wake up from a nightmare being driven over by a truck. Room was small and very dirty. The front desk was completely unwilling to help and after 20 minutes of discussions to get a new room I was able to get the manager and then we got a new room on the backside. Problem here was load music from a band by the poole to 11 PM every night. Both rooms had bad smell, water was cold and smelly and bathroom was flooded. Only positive was the pool. Breakfast was under expectations for a stay anywhere even in 2 star hotel. Everywhere things were broken and wound out in spite of the hotel built 10 years ago.
