This is an excellent small hotel in one of the sherry ports, half an hour across the bay from Cadiz (whether by catamaran ferry, by train, or by bus). I am not sure how representative the Expedia price I paid was, but I found the spec of the hotel outstanding value for money - smart public areas and rooms, with marble floors and tasteful décor, and very clean.
The hotel staff I dealt with were without exception helpful and charming, although none that I dealt with had more than very basic English. This comment also applies to staff in restaurants etc in the town of El Puerta de Santa Maria, although the tourist information office in the town was very helpful in good English. The only English language TV channel available in the room ran back-to-back old Hollywood movies, but the Wi-Fi connection was excellent.
I found the hotel very quiet (including on a Saturday night).
Restaurant prices in surrounding streets were much better value than in Cadiz itself.
Like one other reviewer, I found the hotel initially hard to find. The very narrow street it is on turns off the main road from the station, but it is not named at the crucial junction. The map does accurately give the names of the streets immediately preceding the one you need.
Overally, I would definitely stay there again.
