2/10 Poor

It was worse than a hotel. Carpet was patch work. The duvet was in awful condition. The room was tiny.

Okay
Check in service was pretty poor, guy was listening to music and not really paying us any attention. Didn’t explain where to go or how breakfast worked or anything. Not very welcoming. The housekeeping staff were friendly though.

We had a delightful time. The only issue we did have was, the photo of what we thought we were getting was not what we got.

Room was lovely and clean. My only difficulty was with the bathroom. I found it a tight squeeze getting in & out the shower door. The toilet was also in a very tight space between the shower & the wall. I would stay again but i would request a room with a bigger bathroom.

Guest review
Pros - Great location in West Glasgow Good neighborhood - nearby park, art museum, U of Glasgow Breakfast would appeal to me to meat lovers, but no fruit was available Cons - Closet-sized room in basement level - did not realize this was assigned from hotels.com website. The bath was so small, the door hits the shower door. A different room was requested but not available. The stairs down did not appear safe. This was described as a guest house, but it is part of a larger hotel / restaurant combination.

Clean and comfortable. Its a budget hotel/guest house so there are no frills but its great for an overnight stay . Breakfast is inexpensive and the staff are friendly/welcoming

6/10 Good

Stayed there twice in two weeks for the location. Both times we did not receive the room we paid for. The full size mattress was extremely thin and old and we could feel the metal strips. Our room was apparently next to the bar and very loud one night. The showers in both rooms, though seemingly renovated already had black mold growing on them.

Asked the hotel a few questions by email but they were not answered, requested room with a bath but got a shower. The room was comfortable, clean, had lots of tea and coffee, nowhere to hang the towels. Breakfast has a good selection, staff friendly.

Room was noisy. Ground level. Busy street. No double glazing. Hardly slept. Good breakfast though

We stayed in the Guest House opposite the Hotel. Check in was a breeze and room was really easy to find, clean and welcoming with a big bathroom. Breakfast was served in the hotel and was probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a hotel in Scotland. Overall a great stay, will go back again and have already recommend to others
