The room next to ours was almost certainly being used for prostitution based on the noise through the walls and frequent coming and going of guests. That aside, the hotel met expectation and was good value for the location

It was very so-so, the hotel would not help me change my reservation when I wanted to split it (check out early, leave for another city for 2 days and return for the weekend) even when I offered to pay more to account for the change in daily rate. Generally satisfactory but the triple room was a little cramped for 3 of us. I guess it's a double room with an extra bed. Though bathroom was handicap friendly and spacious, the shower head was too low. If part of the bathroom space was allotted to the bedroom, that would have been better, so we have more room for our luggage. The location of Ximen Hotel is good as it's less than 10 mins walk from the Ximen Metro station. Ximending, the shopping district is very near by. It is also very convenient to get to other parts of Taipei from Ximen station, so for 'location', it's excellent.

Very speedy check in and check out. Room is basic and dated with old decoration/wallpaper but mostly clean except for the carpet, which I'm scared to step on barefooted, even though the cleaner comes daily. It was our first time in Taiwan and the staff at Ximen was absolutely impressive and helpful. They changed our towels daily, cleaned our rooms unless we say no, provided water and soda in the room everyday. The location is excellent. Very close to the night market and is across a bus stop that goes to almost all important locations. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Ximen for a wonderful stay

Overprice for the quality of the hotel. Room are old, small and smelly. only the area was fun but still very loud and crowded. After 12hours flight room were only available at 3pm and nowhere to rest.

This is a very modest hotel. The rooms are small. To be fair, it does not market itself as a resort property. But, if you just need a room in a part of Taipei close to everything this is a great option. Pricing is modest too. Since I spent mist of my time out and about, it was a very good deal and saved me money. When I fid engage with staff they were very helpful and courteous.

The property is good. Old but still clean. The ones who disappointed us were the front desk staff and chambermaid. They were not friendly and a bit rude when they asked us to pay for additional TWD300 for other person when I booked for 5 pax. Because of that they lost a tip from me😀 Good thing the staff on duty the next day was friendfly so I still recommend the hotel.

This hotel has been the least satisfactory accommodation I have experienced. Despite paying USD200 per night for a three-night stay, it is evident that the value of this hotel does not justify a rate exceeding USD80 per night. Firstly, the hotel is situated within an aged building, which serves not only as a hotel but also accommodates various commercial facilities. The lack of exclusive access control raises concerns about security, as individuals can easily access any floor within the hotel area. The rooms exhibit signs of aging, with noticeable disarray in the TV sets and an accumulation of dust around the cables. The carpet, showing signs of wear, emits an unpleasant odor upon entering. The outside view is equally disappointing, featuring the rear side of dilapidated structures, with a large, broken brick wall obstructing the window. To maintain privacy, I found it necessary to keep the curtains closed, as the neighboring balcony provided an intrusive vantage point into my room. Furthermore, the bathroom layout presents a safety hazard. In my room, the 110VAC power socket is inconveniently positioned directly beneath the shower, resulting in splashed water accumulating around the socket. While it might be acceptable for budget-conscious visitors, the hotel must reassess its pricing strategy. Exorbitant charges not only fail to attract business but also tarnish the hotel's reputation, inviting negative reviews.
