This wellness hotel is beyond excellent!!! From the amazing services to the views of the Black Forest and the super lush meadows from our room. There are 10 different spas and 2 pools- inside and outside which our kids loved! The room is very nice with comfortable beds. Our teenagers stayed upstairs with 2 beds and we were downstairs. Very roomy- all amenities we need were there. The hotel have their own spring water and you can drink it- tastes amazing! Breakfast was also very scrumptious with a wide array of food. Wish we had stayed for lore days! Until next time!!

Amazing stay in the Black Forest
We are still learning our German but that was no problem here, they also spoke English. Love how it's close to town yet through the twisting uphill road to get there, it's so set apart from everything. Amazing breakfast, lovely rooms and balcony to watch the thunderstorm come roaming through the valley late at night. Dinner and amazing wine pairing is available. And of course there are walks through the forest right from the hotel with a sauna and spa waiting for you upon your return. It's just what we needed.

Peace and Quiet
Landhotel is literally at the end of a narrow, winding road which makes it the perfect location for peace and quiet. Staff and owner went over and above - even doing some initial research into my family's history.

I spent two weeks deciding on whether to stay at this property and I am glad that we did. This has to be one of the best places we have stayed. Location was great and a good staging point to explore the local area. Watch the sat nav as it got a little confused regarding location. The hotel was at the end of a steep road, this was an advantage as it was incredibly peaceful. The room was ideal for my family - ours had a bunk bed. Whilst the furniture was a little dated, it was comfortable and met our requirements. Facilities were great, we loved the indoor pool and sauna. There was also an outdoor pool which we didn't try. The downstairs area is great for relaxing in the evening with a quiet drink. We also tried the Bistro for dinner and found the food basic but reasonable. Breakfast was included and there was a good variety. Host - Our Hosts are what made the stay truly memorable. On arrival we were shown to our room and given a general rundown. They were generally interested in what we were doing each day, provided ideas on what else to do in the area.

An outstanding family getaway!
Google Maps took us in on the most remote way, but the remoteness also meant quiet, secure, and beauty. Check-in was the best we’ve had in Europe; we were shown all the amenities, restaurant, and our room. Breakfast was outstanding! My kids even had lots to choose from and we were offered to have anything cooked not present. The pool was great and the MANY saunas were amazing! Two were outside, so we did the roll in the snow, hot and cold that added to sleeping terrifically. The area was awesome, of course, lots to do, see, and of course clocks to buy. We enjoyed the Schwarzwaldmuseum too.

This hotel is off the beaten path but definitely worth the trek (the hotel is at the end of a very steep, single lane road). Beautiful and comfortable room and friendly staff. Best wi-fi connection we have had during our trip. Dinner was delicious and although there is no kids menu they will make any item in smaller quantity for kids. Hidden gem in the Black Forest!

The hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and could speak some English. The surrounding area was really good except the only road to the hotel was very small and was a single lane. The only issue I had was booking online, it didn't include all my guests so I had to pay extra afterwards. The dinner was really expensive too. Really though, given the chance I would go back.

Lovely position and room And service excellent. Breakfast was very good: I thought the food in the Restarant was a wee bit over the top. I would have liked something a little simpler: it what a nice place and people.

Vacation in the valley
The staff was very friendly. The small town feel was very apparent. We were unable to use the Spa due to the fact the masseur was off the one day we had available. Very understandable they need time off also. LOL. Our visit was filled with rainy weather. The hotel was cozy enough to wait the rain out. The onsite restaurant was very pricey yet filling. Be familiar with german food items we do not blame our lack of knowledge, the waitress was very understanding and was more than willing to allow us to ask many questions. Breakfast was wonderful. Free coffee and cake on the balcony overlooking the marvelous terrain was ver fulfilling. The onsite indoor pool was a awesome. It offers a Jacuzzi with warm water, a water fall faucet, and a built in current the allows you to swim against.

Beautiful hotel away from everything
The hotel is literally at the end of a road that is at the top of a hill. The view is beautiful and it is the perfect place to relax. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast was a small variety - European style. The pool and over 10 saunas/steam rooms were wonderful. This is the place to go if you just want to relax.

Wonderful, warm, approachable staff
I was fortunate to discover this gem high up in the mountain in the heart of the Black Forest. I would have stayed longer if I could have. I enjoyed their amenities, dining, view and interesting staff. The co-owner was kind enough to provide us with a tour of their splendid hotel and his enthusiasm for the magical place was contagious. The amazing location also allows for a hike into the woods and over-looking a beautiful scene. I wish I had more time. I would go back again.

Great Stay
Very great hotel in very beautiful area. I say nothing but good things only thing is i have two 10 year old boys that are loud. I think this hotel is more for relaxing couples with no kids.. We didnt have anyone say anything but i felt bad for my kids being kids. I would love to go back with just my wife and i.

This is our second time to this hotel and we will definitely come back. We enjoy the spa immensely, we also enjoy walking in the Black Forest where the hotel is located. The hotel is located pretty far off the main road but that is what makes it special.

Fairy Tale Holiday
I was unsure of how our holiday was going to turn out while we were driving on the road that seemed to be only as wide as a sidewalk...but then we saw it! It was like driving into a book of an old children's storybook fairy tale. There are no words that can describe what we saw as we drove past the last set of houses and saw nothing but an absolutely beautiful resort surrounded by the beauty of Germany's Black Forest. I would have spent a lifetime at this place if time would have allowed. Live out a childhood dream...even if only for a few days. You will never regret it, but you will talk about it for the rest of your lives. We departed a few days ago and I'm ready to go back. Thank you to Chris and his wife (owners) for the conversation, great selection of wine and memories!

Majestic location...
The surrounding is very peaceful and the hotel staff is very friendly, especially to little children. The breakfast area is also a pleasant experience with helpful staff and artistic decorations. If you travel through Black Forest, this is a stop worth investing.
