Great place near a station. The private room with bunk beds we were in had enough room to hold our suitcases and still move around.

Good location!
Tsubame has several clean bunk-bed rooms with clean shared toilets, bathrooms and 1 kitchenette with fridges. Rooms with1 bunk-bed or 1 bunk-bed + 1 single bed with thin mattresses. Bunk-bed is good for 1 person, with 2 it becomes wobbly and a bit noisy.
Interesting fact:
- you can hear footsteps, noises from hairdryer, from microwaves in the hallways but not noises from streets!
- no-lock entrance door makes you feel scared if you have to go to toilet during the night on first night.
It is closed to Asakusabashi station, 1 station to Ryogoku/Akihabara stations, not far from Asakusa temple, Sky Tree, Tokyo/Ueno stations,...

Nice clean room. A lil cramped for 3 persons with big luggages. It is well insulated in the winter. Near to Asakusabashi Station. Also near to several convenience stores. Overall a great stay here.

Only real complaint would be that the beds are very uncomfortable. You can feel the boards under the thin mattress.

Quiet, close to the station. The beds were a little hard but the shared bathrooms were clean. The walls were very thin though so our neighbors having a phone conversation could be heard in the next room.

Simple, clean, and quiet
Everything is very very clean. You know bc you can smell the bleach haha. The rooms are very simple, beds and a desk with a rack to hang your coats. You rent the towels for 100 yen. The shower/toilet/sink is shared with other guests on your floor. Our stay was very quiet. There are multiple cafes and food places around, and you are close to the JR station, only a short walk away. This is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it is a great hostel if you are young and on a budget. :)

Not great at all.
The room is small, bathroom really cold and not in the room. You have to pay extra to have towels. Poor place to stay... The only good thing, it is not fare from the train station.

Small and comfy place , but the walls are too thin, you can hear the people next door talking, but overall a very nice place, and the location is very near both the subway and the JR line

Clean and spacious, highly recommended!
Tsubame Guesthouse was newly renovated in 2015 so as expected, amenities were clean and new. The room and shower area was pleasantly spacious (ours was a private twin room) and relatively clean. Service was good as we requested for late check-in and was afraid we'd missed the check-in timing due to flight delay but they did stay late for us. Check-out was also fuss free. The hostel was also located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood which makes for sound sleeping.

Clean, Convenient and Comfortable
We stayed three days and loved it. We met two receptionists and both of them are very kind and polite. Their English is better than those we met at some five-star hotels in Japan. Since this is a non smoking facility, it really has no smell of smoke (as a lot of Japanese non-smoking hotel rooms have strong smoke smells). Our room and public bathrooms were clean. Check-in was very simple and the guesthouse even provides a free service for our luggage storage. There are many food choices in the area. JR and subway stations are just five minute walk. You can rent a bath towel at JPY100 for your entire stay. The guesthoouse provides all basic amenities except cups and paper towels.
