The air conditioning was down for the entire two day stay. For the first day and a half, hotel management insisted the air conditioning it was working perfectly nothing was wrong. On The 2nd evening they finally admitted it was a cooling tower issue and no restaurants or public areas had air conditioning. The room never cooled below 27 degrees c (80.4 F) This is in late July in Cabo San Lucas. The temperature outside was humid and 37 (97 F) in the day and 33(92 F) at night. The hotel knew of the air conditioning issue and said nothing at check in. This is a 5 star hotel at $500 a night. The compensation offered by the front desk manager was 10,000 Bonvoy points, of Cabo Marriott hotel costs 140,000 points a night The then added to comp my bar bill which was two drinks, to be fair that did cost $80 USD. They then offered to comp me food in the room ( hamburger and a piece of pie) Finally the front desk manager Gustavo offered to add a choice of the 10,000 points or two comp nights in same class of room. I accepted, they never sent it to me of course. I attempted to reach the GM four times. Aside from the air conditioning issues and the dishonesty by management, It is a beautiful property with two issues 1. Very very remote 2. Even if the air conditioning was working correctly, the room air conditioning units are set that they cannot go below cannot go below 21.5 ( 71 F). My room never got below 80.

The property was decent a 3.8-4 star property. Room service was slow on the first day we had to call several times. The adult pool food menu was a bit weird and limited. The cost for a few sliders were the same price for a whole meal at their onsite restaurant. The menu choices were limited when the point of being at the pool is to drink, swim, eat and repeat. Also the pool service ends at 7pm. A decent property boring but good for relaxation and the spa was decent.
