Good value for money
Lovely large, comfortable, clean room with powerful shower in ensuite. Staff very friendly and worked extremely hard. Food ok. Overall very good value for money.

Grand place
Good hotel. Would definitely stay again. The building itself was old, was once very grand. It needs a lick of paint on the outside and the windows. That said the rooms were nice. The linen and towels very clean as was most areas. A little bit more maintenance with the paint brush in a few corners of the room would make all the difference. Staff really nice. Breakfast good. Shower really powerful and hot as you could want. Overall good.

Wonderful Hotel in the Heart of the Town
All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room with a sea view at the second floor is wonderful, spacious and clean. The hotel has been renovated with all new interiors. There is not any parking space inside the hotel area, although there is a large parking space nearby with payment of GBP5 for the whole day.

4/10 Fair

Very dusty and very old fashioned decor, most things needed attention, window jammed open with a coke tin, wardrobe hanging off the wall, bath chipped, tap missing the top, bin pedal missing, bed all frayed at base, really horrible room.

Short break joy
My wife and I stayed for just a night away. Its a grand old hotel, perfectly positioned for exploration of the beautiful country and Lynton&Lynmouth. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The only draw back is the dated decor in the bedrooms but hopefully this is being undertaken, the lobby and bar/restaurant area are very tidy. We had a great stay.
