We were initally surprised with how small and truly close (couple feet) it was to the highway despite the owners being upfront about this. Regardless, they did a great job soundproofing the place and we loved our stay at Augustine! It was very clean, modern, and reminiscent of a resort. The view from the place is incredible and private that you forget you're close to the highway. We could hardly tell others had stayed at this place previously because they keep it well maintained. Well equipped kitchen, cozy, and the outdoor hot tub is the cleaniest we have ever used at a property in state. They promote that their property is very clean and they definitely lived up to that. Owners were very nice and Jen even contacted us to let us know that we left something behind and we were able to pick it up before leaving town. We'll definitely be back/recommend this place to others. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful property! What a find.
We stayed at the Fireweed unit here and it was the perfect cap to a week of camping. The property is beautiful, as are the views. Fully functional and equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, the entire place was spotless and well-kept. The hot tub is carefully set up to offer privacy. The people renting the unit upstairs weren't there much but when they were it was nearly impossible to hear them or tell we didn't have the entire property to ourselves. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Over the top good. We stayed in Alder second floor. I can’t think of a better place to stay. The views from your private hot tub alone are worth it but the place delivers, everything is top notch.

Exquisite experience staying here.
Gorgeous cabin and view. The Augustine cabin is definitely just for two, and is impeccably designed and decorated. It overlooks Cook Inlet and has a private hot tub from which to take in marvelous sunsets over Augustine mountain across the inlet. Don't be put off by the proximity to the road. From inside the cabin, one could barely hear even the loudest trucks. It feels very private and quiet. The cabin had everything needed for cooking our meals, along with a grill.

I loved how clean our room was. The hot tub was amazing. The set up of the rooms was awesome. The amenities were exceptional. Whoever designed the rooms did excellent in their choice of flooring, curtains, hardware, and furniture. I just loved it all. Oh and of course the view was absolutely beautiful. It was very quiet and set back from traffic. I would definitely stay again. And just so you know I am very picky about where I choose to sleep. But this place met all of my needs and then far succeeded in the wants department. Thank you so much for the stay.

The whole experience was incredible. The Augustine cabin we stayed in is beautiful. The decor is perfect inside and out. Got to have a fire and watch the sunset. Amazing how you could not even hear the traffic so close to the highway. Will be back soon.

Simply breathtaking
The place is simply amazing! Spotless, wonderful view, great interior design and so very private feeling. They did an amazing job making you feel like you're the only person there. The private hot tub area is completely yours alone, but open to the view.

We are staying in Alder!! The cabin is sooooo nice and the view is something I will never forget. BBQ and very private hot tub on the deck. By far the nicest place we have stayed in Alaska and the view is post card worthy.

this room took us by surprise, it was so far above the standard! Beautiful in every way, they really go above and beyond here, I only wish we could have spent a week not just one night.
