Nice Hotel. Needs weekend maintenance.
The hotel is very nice and seems rather new. Gosau is a lovely village close to Hallstatt, but you don't have to deal with all the tourists. The service was good, except for the fact that our bathroom sink would not drain. We informed the reception desk of this on our first night (Friday), but it was never fixed nor did they offer to transfer us to a different room.

The staff was really unfriendly, wifi bad, no tea or coffee, lots of bug, people were smoking , beds were really uncomfortable and hard, charged so much, no conditioner, doors wouldn’t lock, drawings on the wall and we slept there for 2 nights and didn’t even clean on the last day. The city taxes are so high and unexpected. They don’t even have tissues in the room. The bedding was very uncomfortable and pillow is too flat. Too much smoke around. My child triggered his asthma.

The reception staff was unfriendly and inpatient. The hotel is also under staff, we could not check in until 4pm even though the check in time is 3pm, because the room was not ready, but the check out time is 10am, which is earlier than a typical check out time. Also we could not get into our room because the electric door was out of battery, we had to wait a long time for the staff to change the battery.
