EBookers never passed on my reservation to the hotel so I never got to stay there. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and found me alternative accommodation, sure it would be a very nice place to stay, however will not be booking through EBookers again.

The room was attractive, comfortable and clean with all the amenities that we needed and the location was excellent. Unfortunately we had a few problems. 1. At check-in they did not have a record of our reservation, fortunately they had rooms available. 2. On Expedia the rate stated that it included breakfast which is one of the reasons why we selected this hotel. When we went for breakfast in the morning we were told that it did not. We were advised that had we prepaid breakfast at £6.50 we would have saved considerably but as we did not we will have to pay the prices on the menu. So we walked out. 3. The tub took ages to drain. One morning we had to sponge bath as the water was still in the tub from the night before and was now so cold that we couldn’t stand in it. 4. There was construction work being done on one of the floors and there was nothing said about that on Expedia. When we were ready to checkout we had to walk down the stairs with our bags as the elevator was being used by workmen to carry up bags of what appeared to be tile thinset and/or grout.

My booking was cancelled so I didn't get to stay with the hotel there was a fault between your systems and theirs so the room was double booked they transferred me to another hotel and it was disgusting.

The hotel and staff were amazing, a lovely quirky place well worth a visit. Only problem we had was from Hotels.Com because they did not reserve the room, so when we arrived we had to wait for or room and it was lucky they had a room left as they only have 5 rooms.

Lovely building converted nicely in to a hotel restaurant and bar! Great location to explore the town centre. Only drawback was there is no parking. I would advise you to use the train station car park as it's only a five minute walk. Great breakfast and I would highly recommend.

A really nice hotel in an converted church! Walking distance to all that Shrewsbury has to offer. Tasty breakfast included in price. Parking is a bit tricky. The best option is by the railway station, 5 minutes walk. Parking is £5 a day.

One of the owners Eddie was extremely helpful and friendly and gave the feeling nothing would be too much trouble. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only minor complaints were the lack of car parking at the hotel but admittedly it's something I should have checked before booking. There's a car park available 0.3 miles away and only cost £5 per 24 hours. Second minor gripe was that breakfast is served from 8 am which if I was on a pleasure trip would have been fine but as I needed to leave by 8 to get to a meeting didn't work well for me. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Shrewsbury. p.s If you stay here, just up the road is a place called "Lyons Den" which is a must visit if you like burgers.
