Definitely wouldn’t recommend this motel to anyone! No lightning at night and the guy that checked us in said that he was closing the office and then stated we’d have to walk to the Baymont if we needed anything, which essentially meant “Good luck, try not to die” pics display everything you need to know about their “premium” room.

No one at the front desk. You had to walk to the next hotel which us owned by the same family We were the only people staying in the whole building. The second day, another couple checked in and they gave them our room even though our stay with them wasn't over, yet.

The room was dirty! Hair on shower walls, debris all over the carpet (clear evidence of not vacuumed), half used shampoos and conditioner as complementary soaps. The smell of septic fills the air outside. Single cup Coffee make available to use however no cupsor coffee to go with it. Overall an uncomfortable experience. Pros, the view from this property is top notch. Private beach.

I had a reservation booked and nobody was at the property (several attempts in the same day) 6/7/25 available for check in. I tried calling, and returned multiple times. Ended up having to book another hotel for myself and my dog.

Pool of water at end of bed told attendant he did come mop it up but the room had terrible musty smell bathroom was small and the shower install was not completely finished. The flooring warped - think there is a problem with air conditioner and it leaks and water sits on floor until reported

We had to wait for someone to check us in. When we got to the room it was still dirty. Came back later, Tv didn’t work . Room was discussing . Afraid to take my shoes off. Shower looked like something in a campground. Bed was comfortable, looks like they are trying to up date, but they should definitely wait till they are done. We were in room 10. Pretty scary, floors weren’t swept, spiders and cob webs in the bathroom! Young gentleman that checked us in was nice! Wouldn’t have stayed a second night if it was free!

This is a comfy and convenient place to stay in St. Ignace. Right on the beach with a nice firepit and a grassy area for the dog. Easy walk to Jose’s for dinner.

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay at Bay View. Housekeeping staff did a nice job of tidying up the rooms each day. Loved the lake view and nice lounge chairs outside by the water. Comfy beds, clean place.

The owner/manager was so helpful when we booked late in the day and arrived at 9:30pm. It was so wonderfully convenient after such a long ride. The room was so welcoming ☺ and I absolutely loved the decor! The ceiling is so cool.The beds were very comfortable. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely be back.

The motel is lakefront with a nice beach. Fire pit for guests. The manager was very nice and upgraded our room to ground floor which was better for mobility issues. Clean, comfortable bed and nice, thick bath towels. View of Lake Huron and Mackinac Island are beautiful.
