"A lovely hotel, just across the street from the BEACH! And the rooftop Pool and patio with Bar and Restaurant was Super Convenient! Also there were plenty of Delicious restaurants all within easy walking distance! We had a Terrific 10 Days!"

"I had been eyeing this hotel for a while, as it always looked charming and sophisticated from the outside. When I finally traveled to Rio, it was my first choice. The location is perfect—right in front of the beach—and they provide beach service (chairs and umbrellas), which is very convenient. The breakfast was another highlight: a small buffet, but a wide à la carte menu, and the common bar is pleasant. We also had a great couple’s massage—thank you Miguel and Amanda!
However, a few things...

"The Sheraton Grand Rio is an excellent choice in Rio de Janeiro, with beautiful views and all amenities one could desire (excellent tennis courts, beautiful pool area, good restaurants, nice lounge and fitness/wellness area). Staff is very friendly an d the rooms are comfortable. Would stay there again."

I arrived @ 22:05, and it was like Marie Celeste, the lights were on, door open, but no-one there. Eventually I found an English couple staying at the hotel, who helped me get a key for an unoccupied room, so I didn’t have to sleep in a chair in reception.

"I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Rio Palace Hotel. It was perfectly located two blocks from Copacabana Beach. The rooms are modern and elegant. The breakfast buffet was impressive and had so many options you couldn’t try them all. It is in a safe area and centrally located. They have rooftop pools if the beach isn’t your thing or an indoor pool for wet days. We will return when we come back to Rio. "

"Amazing location, very comfortable rooms and really amazing, friendly and professional staff! Wasn’t even aware when i booked that there was a chair and towel service right across in Copacabana beach. Amazing views from rooftop and since it was winter and a bit chilly the heated outdoor pool was excellent. Highly recommended. "
