Great view and bed.
Upon check-in the front desk clerk was very professional, kind and expedient in my check-in. The room was comfortable the bed and pillows were very comfortable the room temperature was previously set not too warm not too cold. The only issue I had was breakfast. There was no pork alternative to the sausage I would suggest a chicken or vegan sausage instead of pork. The breakfast attendant was not friendly and Extremely Loud when breaking down the breakfast service. I was doing work on my phone and when the other guest left she started singing and I stayed still working on my phone because it was a lounge that is open 24 hours she got noisier and noisier emptying garbage and banging the cans, noisily putting things away it was almost like she was doing it on purpose. I had to end my meeting early because of the noise. Everything else about this Hotel was above average but the breakfast attendant lacked professionalism and was Extremely Loud. I asked a couple of questions before breakfast was over and was met with a short answer no customer service skills and made me feel like I was bothering her. I may have been over sensitive to her actions due to the fact that I have managed customer service agents for over 20 years. I would suggest this is an opportunity for coaching with this employee. Otherwise the stay was very comfortable.

I thought it would be better
So, it looks like this could be a renovated property. Only things is they didn’t upgrade the temperature control box (looks like it could be from the 70s), the end tables, closet, and curtains could be from the former hotel and yea, they look like it’s from the 70s. If you’re going to renovate, just do the whole thing cause what they didn’t renovate or update is what you will notice anyhow.

My husband was having an early morning heart surgery at Tacoma General. Hotel is close by and made for an easy trip. Room and bed were very comfortable. The only negative comment is there was no room service. You must pick up order from restaurant and take back to your room.

Very nice older hotel. Upscale remodel very nice. The bed (king) was very comfortable and had King size pillows! Within walking distance to restaurants and the Tacoma Convention center. Easy access from the Freeway.
