Pretty with remodeling challenges
The 6th floor was recently remolded, so very attractive. Unfortunately, the walkthru following construction doesn't appear complete: I couldn't draw curtains over entire window and there's lots of light in the area; the refrigerator rocked when opened; the shower took quite some time to become warm; the staff when checking out were not nearly as friendly as the women when checking in.

Was in town for an event at the P&G arena. Great location for event as we walked the bridge to and from. Only issue was lots of road work around hotel which made getting into the hotel parking a challenge.

Our Room - Okay
I did not like the fact that they charged me $100 security deposit and when I got in the room there was several lamp shades broke The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan and the refrigerator had no balls to hold drinks on everything was broken.

Nice location and overall great stay!
Hotel is clean and some floors are going through a re-model/upgrade which is good that they're investing in keeping it nice. The breakfast bar is plentiful with a great selection and plenty of food to feed your family before starting your day. Easy walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and bars...and a short drive to the Cheesecake Factory and shops.

NICE STAY BUT HIDDEN PARKING FEE
We enjoyed our stay and staff was very welcoming. I am disappointed that I was charged $22 to park my car and was not informed of this charge upon check in. When making this reservation there was no mention of this cost anywhere on the listing that I could find. Had I known, I would have chosen another hotel for my stay.

There was not a fan in the bathroom. The hallway smelled like pot. We had to call Hotels.com about a dispute over cancelation of one night. However, it was resolved when we checked out.There was not a list of restaurants nearby or a listing for the television channels. The towels were changed out but the beds were not made and garbage not taken out. The hotel was quiet. Convenient location. The breakfast was good.

A no so smoke-free hotel
The room we stayed had an persistant smoking odor. We told the personnel about it and they didnt took any action. The odor was so persistant that some of us had breathing issues after the trip. There was also no ventilation for the shower, so the humidity was stuck in the room. Therefore, the restmoors were full of moisture. Room service also happened only once in our 3 night stay.

Service was good. Staff was helpful and professional. Linens seemed clean and bedding was comfortable. Room was in need of some general maintenance. Paint, wallpaper, grout and caulking needs replaced or repaired. This hotel has potential to be 5 star with some attention to details.

Our first room was dirty. The toilet was not cleaned and had urine all over the front, on the floor and a dirty ring inside the toilet. The sink was not clean and looked as if someone had shaved their face and it was all left in the sink. We were moved to a new room after being told housekeeping wouldn’t just come and clean our bathroom because they weren’t there. Housekeeping was literally cleaning the room beside us. The new room smelled and was so humid the sheets were damp. After untucking the covers we noticed a large reddish brown stain on the mattress with black stuff beside it. It was disgusting. Because we were exhausted and trying to enjoy our limited time with our family we placed a towel over the area and just slept there. Worst hotel experience of my life and we travel quite a bit. I won’t be staying at a holiday inn express again.

A stretch to give this place even 3 stars
Ok place, but just felt and looked like a property not very well run or managed. One elevator was out of service, and the coffee served at breakfast was disgusting. Our room had some permanent splatter marks/stains on walls in the bathroom and the shower curtain rod was loose on one end and sagged. Just seemed that property needed some extra TLC.
