Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The property is quite old and it looks nothing like the photos online. One of the biggest disappointment was that it didn’t offer the clear view of the village but is obstructed and not as picturesque as we hoped.

Hi Would you believe it there was a big escorpion walking freely on the floor you can imagin if it had bitten one of us you can imagin the rest . I would definitely not recommend the property. The service in the pool area was very limited, I struggled a lot getting specifically the dishes I ordered as well as the drinks. The quality of the food is not good and the hotel seems to be under staffed. The place has a great potential to have something a lot better, I would not come back to the hotel, at least not in the near future.

The view is amazing and the hotel grounds are beautiful and spacious. My only request is they upgrade the coffee condiments in the rooms The was only one pack of creamer. Both my wife and I like cream in our coffee. There should be enough for two at least.

Outdated with spectacular views.
The hotel's location provieds great views of Taxco, but is not worth car/taxi/shuttle rides up if you are stay there more than 1 or 2 days. The staff is fantastic 5 stars.. The other con, is this hotel is outdated, it needs a major renovation.

Montetaxco Hotel is a great place to satey. Excellent service and the staff is very kind and always willing to serve. It's easy to go to downtown by taxi and the great benefit to stay in Montetaxco is a very quiet area

I had booked this hotel to visit Taxco with a friend. We were super excited to go, but then she had a medical emergency a couple of days beforehand and were no longer able to make it. We immediately called the hotel and it was very difficult to reach someone. When we finally did, we told them the situation, and even told them her doctor would provide a letter stating she could not go, and they said they couldn’t do anything and that we had to wait until the Marketing Manager (?!) got in the following day. We were so confused as to why we would need to talk to the Marketing Manager and asked to speak with the hotel’s General Manager. The woman on the phone said that she was the GM and didn’t have the authority to decide on a refund, which I find very strange. Long story short, we went back and forth for two days calling and emailing and never got a response. Expedia’s customer service had to handle the issue and the hotel refused to let us cancel and get our money back. Almost $200 wasted. SMH, never again!
