I’ve stayed at a few hotels in Jamaica and the staff at Jewel were the best! Nickeesha (excuse the spelling) in entertainments was so warm and friendly, providing great entertainment in spite of the rain. Can’t wait to return and spread the word!

Run down property
I booked this based on the reviews on Hotels.com and was VERY disappointed in the quality of the property. Super run down, in need of a lot of repair (tons of bugs inside the restaurants, missing ceiling tiles, broken doors, broken hot tubs, broken chairs). Seaweed on the beach was raked and never collected so high tide would take it back to the water. The only good thing to eat was the Jerk Chicken they made on the beach which we waited over an hour for. The staff was friendly which is common for Jamacia. This is not a 5-star property. The price does not match what you get.

This hotel is PARADISE!!
My fiancé and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Jewel Grande Hotel in Jamaica! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and incredible hospitality from the staff. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The food was exceptional – every meal was fresh, flavorful, and offered plenty of variety to suit all tastes. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. Whether we were relaxing by the pool or enjoying the beachfront, everything was perfect. We felt so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff for making our trip so special. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in Jamaica.

Great Experience
Overall, really good resort. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful explaining anything. Food was good overall. I have a few knit-picks, but overall good. The nightly entertainment was fun, but we felt there wasn’t much to do after the 50 minutes of nightly entertainment. We were there 6 nights - after being there a few days it almost felt small. As in, not too much to do. It’s not a complaint, we just relaxed the whole time. But we would have enjoyed it even more if there were more to do in the evenings. I would definitely recommend this to anyone for a 4 night stay. An older couple we spoke with mentioned that they hated you had to take stairs to and from each building, which we didn’t think about. But nothing you can do about that!

horrible stay
We had a horrible experience at this hotel. We arrived at 4:30 PM for check-in, but our room was not ready until 6:30 PM. On the second day, there was NO water and NO power for the elevator until around 9 PM. On the third day, there was NO hot water throughout the entire afternoon, which was only restored by 8 PM. Additionally, there was loud party music that lasted until 12:15 AM, making it impossible to sleep. The Moonstone Restaurant was also understaffed, and despite waiting for 20 minutes, we were unable to get seated. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience and will not be returning. Let me know if you’d like additional changes or assistance with tone adjustments!

Terrible hotel
I recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding, and I was incredibly disappointed. The cleanliness of the hotel was poor—rooms and common areas lacked the attention to detail you’d expect. The service was equally underwhelming, with slow responses to even the simplest requests. While the food was acceptable, the overall experience was lacking, especially considering this was a wedding venue where service should be top-notch. The bar was consistently out of basic ingredients, including mint, which meant no mojitos or similar drinks. For a hotel in a tourist area, this was shocking. I've traveled extensively across the Caribbean, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re looking for quality or reliability.

Service was seriously lacking! Villa was not prepped with utensils, plates, mugs etc for 6 guests. Took 2-3 hours to get food orders. Waited 1.5 hours for jerk chicken on the beach. Location of villa was convenient, beach was nice. No pool table as in images. It was off season, and very clear the B crew was on duty.

I am highly dissapointed, is maybe one of the most expensive booking I have done thru Expedia and Hotels. Information about the property was not accurate, the Suite was outdated, there is construction works in the building, definitely not worth de $US700 per night. Decide to leave early today. I am highly dissapointed.

Really loved everything about the property. The staff was perfecf. The unlimited, all inclusive adult beverages were EXTREMELY watered down. Stopped ordering drinks after 2 days because they were weak and I was just consuming a ton of sugar. Went on a catamaran, got a good buzz. 1 drink and a beer at the airport, good buzz. And it doesn't take much for me because I never drink. It was really disapppointing. I'll likely choose a different resort from now on because it was my 1 time to kinda of let loose, and I couldn't.

My wife and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here. It was a beautiful place to stay with many options for food and drinks. Beautiful private beach. All inclusive was great! My wife used the spa and massage and enjoyed it very much. The staff was always easy to talk with and were all very helpful.

From the moment of arrival to the final farewell, the experience was incredible. The check-in process was smooth, complemented by a refreshing cold cloth. Waiting for our room over lunch and the drink service provided by Melissa was delightful; she welcomed us warmly. I must give a special mention to Jordan and Chantel for their exceptional butler services. They were outstanding, and their dedication to their work did not go unnoticed. My deepest appreciation goes to them for their extraordinary hospitality. I would like to extend my gratitude once more for the courtesy and hospitality provided by all the drivers who served us; it was most helpful and greatly appreciated.
