I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Southwest, and it was a truly horrible experience from start to finish.
To begin with, the elevators were not working, making it incredibly inconvenient to move around, especially with luggage. The breakfast was another letdown, with only dry eggs available on Thursday.
The problems continued in my room on the fourth floor (room 403) where the AC went out. I was then moved to the third floor, only to find a lady clearly under the influence of drugs blocking my door. When I reported this to the staff, I was told nothing could be done because she had booked a room.
The issues didn't stop there. The TV in my new room (room 310) was broken, adding to the frustration. The amount of drug dealing happening in the parking lot was alarming and made me feel unsafe.
To top it all off, kids were running in and out of the pool, causing the hallway floors to be soaked, creating a slippery and hazardous environment.
I inquired about getting a refund due to these numerous issues, but my request was not addressed satisfactorily.
Overall, this stay was a nightmare, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
