A cozy and quiet place to stay.
The location was nice, a bit far to walk downtown at night. It was nice to have a parking space next to the cottage (no stairs) too. I didn’t care for the bed pillows and wish I had brought my own pillow instead. Otherwise it was fine.

This is a quaint, rustic Inn that fits the image of Old Carmel. I love that it is rustic as the homes around it fit into the same quaintness of the area. For us, it’s the perfect getaway to Carmel, not fancy but quaint and rustic.

The location is quaint but needs updating. We were there on a warmer day so it was not typical Carmel weather and the room was not set up for it.

This is different and interesting experience. Being in a cottage with great fireplace. This cottage experience is really was delightful. We unfortunately had quite a bit cold weather and rain. Bathroom wasn’t hot enough and we couldn’t take a shower. And a bit outdated makes you feel uncomfortable. But overall was very good.

I'll be back!
Such a cute little inn close to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. Love that it's dog friendly! I will stay here again... the only thing that could improve is either having a water refill station or a vending machine to purchase water.

We stayed in the Ocean House. Spacious with good amenities including flat screen TV, microwave, mini fridge and in room coffee. The bed frame was squeaky and we couldn't get the heater to work. Otherwise, very quiet and peaceful.

My family and I had an amazing time there! I asked the office to recommend a place to eat, and the gentleman there gave me a sheet of locations and indicated which were his favorites, and he was so RIGHT!! every single place. Thank you!!

Don't stay in the Wildcat Room in the summer
The location wasn't bad. You can walk to downtown in about 10-15 minutes. Ideally next time I'd stay closer though. You get your own parking spot right by your room which is nice. Room was clean. Check-in process was quick and easy. The downside was that there was NO A/C. Our room didn't have any shading - we were in the Wildcat Room (don't get that room in the summer). There is only a header and portable fan. When we arrived in the afternoon the room must have been 90 degrees. Way too hot! For a $300+ room this was ridiculous. They could have started to cool the room before check-in. Had to have the fan going all night which was loud. The second night I asked the front desk for a second fan to help blow some of the heat out, which helped. Wouldn't stay here again... at least not in the same room.

The room is very old. It needs to be repaired. The toilet was wobbly and tiles around the tub were loose. One of the window screens was not seated well so bugs could fly in. No air conditioning but there was a fan in the closet. Not a lot of plugs. Parking was interesting. When my friend pulled out, her car was on three wheels! It’s very steep. Be careful Lots of fluffy towels though!
