10/10 Exceptional

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Especially the front desk staff. The rooms were clean and cozy. We had a space heater and warm blankets for those cold nights high up in the mountains of Colca. It honestly was the best hotel breakfast ive had while i stayed in the Arequipa area. The breakfast had a big variety I would recommend it to anyone. I would definitely stay here again if i ever visit Colca and would recommend it to anyone. Gracias a todos desde los Estados Unidos Miguel V.

Excellent stay
Everything absolutely great. Really nice hotel and friendly efficient staff. The only minor annoyance what that on checkin I asked that my credit card was charged in local currency or US$. No stupid dynamic conversion with 4% markup which seems to happen often in Peru. I was charged in GBP resulting in around £6 extra expense. Checkin staff assured me I had been charged in $. The receipt and card statement say otherwise.

Decent hotel en route to Colca Canyon
Overnight stay in Colca Valley - there are limited hotels here but this hotel was fine. We were a little tired after an early start so we decided to eat in rather than go into the town. Service was a little haphazard at the bar and the food distinctly average. Staff were pretty good and room was fine. Overall not a bad stay!

Bonito hotel, desayuno debe mejorar

Nice hotel, worth a visit.
Great hotel with a few weird quirks. The rooms were comfortable and nice enough for one night and the staff was friendly, but easily confused. They couldn’t figure out what day I arrived in the country because I arrived late on the 17th but by the time I got through immigration it was after midnight the next day, so I wrote 17th as the day I arrived but my passport stamp said 18th and I don’t know why they needed the info but they were fixated on it, they even called by room at 10 pm to ask again, it got very annoying. The on-site parking is 3 spaces, the 3rd blocks the other 2, so I had to go move my car once to let others out, and you have to notify them every time you want to leave or return so they can open the gate. Not convenient at all but the property itself is pretty and good enough for a one night stay.

Chivay is a small town with limited services. Our Casa Andina Colca Hotel included not only breakfast (which is typical), but also included dinner. That was unusual- and great!

Very convenient location and all amenities there. Front desk staff not particularly helpful- had to pull teeth to find out about the observatory, which she should have explained voluntarily.

This is a good place to stay if you want to see Colca Canyon and the flight of the condors. Getting there is difficult because they are redoing the roads and cars cannot access the property easily.

Hotel had problems
We would not stay here again. It was a nice looking hotel with casitas & a nice dining room & lobby & the service was great, but we had problems with the check in ( price confusion). & the room filled with a smoky smell each night when they had a fire in the lobby fireplace. At 6 am the radio was going in the kitchen & was noisy & you could hear everyone dragging their suitcase by & talking. The main thing was we had a broken toilet which kept running & the guy came twice, said there was nothing wrong with it, so we had to stand over it & jiggly the handle if we wanted it to stop each time we used it. The breakfast buffet was not good compared to the other hotels we’ve stayed in.

Nice hotel
Expensive for the area but lovely and relaxing. Feels very safe and clean. No wifi in the rooms however which is a bit weird. In the lobby/reception area it's fine. Breakfast was nice but need to get their early as there was little in the hot section left.Staff were great. Had a bad expereince at the original hotel we had booked in Chivay and ended up walking out, so it was great to receive friendly, helpful service here!

Great staff, Being Renovated
Staff was very helpful. Some rooms were being renovated. Our room was clean but smaller than expected, yet functional. Internet (Wi-Fi) was down and not available any of the three days/two nights we were there. Location was up a dusty semi-paved road from town, wish we had booked more in the town.
