The Good and Bad
Let me start of by saying this is a small hotel compared to the megaplexes that loom over the beaches of Cancun. However, an overall nice hotel. It’s a little older and the building shows. It is a very clean hotel, lobby, bathrooms, rooms, restaurants.  The pool area has two levels, both pools are clean, and are kept clean. I mostly stayed on the upper deck pool, as it was mostly vacant, which was nice. However, that means that the bartenders walking around the pool, didn’t it make over there quite often. The drinks are good.  Check in was smooth, you have the opportunity to check in online before you arrive at the hotel. Reception was phenomenal, excellent service, always willing to assist. I had some issues with the safe and the hot water, and they were quick to get someone to assist me, and maintenance followed up right away. The hot water was mainly that I didn’t know how to work the lever.  I was not very happy that I was accosted by concierge right away, and this is were my overall experience was affected. The gentleman who assisted me made it known right away that I would not be made privy or acesss to some of the exclusive “members only privilege”. They asked who I booked with and I booked with Hotels.com. Guest are differentiated by red and blacks bands, the red ones being the lesser ones. The black bands have access to an exclusive bar by the pool lounge area. This small experience put somewhat of a damper because your left feeling like a second class citizen.

They hustled me for $80 to upgrade to an ocean view which was a side ocean view, just had to break my neck to see the beautiful ocean. Also, my air conditioner was leaking the first day to which I reported it and it wasn't fixed until the day we left. I have stayed at multiple inclusive resorts and this was the worst. There was no night life, after 9pm the place was dead.

Really enjoyed our stay here. All the staff are friendly and helpful. If you only speak English that’s ok because it’s touristy enough that all the staff also speak English. The pool is pretty nice and if you get bored of it then you can walk right to the nice sandy beach. Food was decent not terrible but wasn’t super fancy, still enjoyed most of it though. Room was pretty clean as spacious but they need a fan or something in the bathroom

They need to do better in the menu they offer. Drinks are bad, my spouse wanted a margarita and they didn’t have sour mix, piña colada tasted meh, they only think good was the beer and all juices were artificial , even tho is all inclusive the specialty restaurants only have a prefix menu with two choices for main course and a 4 course total menu including dessert. They don’t have that much variety, food was poor quality , nothing impress me during my stay beside their personnel, they are very respectful , polite and professional.

This was my first time here, the restaurants were really limited because you can’t reserve them until you get there so we only got reservations for 3 total dinners while there the rest of the time we had to eat at the buffet, if you are a picky eater there will not be a lot for you to choose from, the drinks we had were all amazing tho, try a mango mojito! A lot of the staff were not very friendly and at the buffet it took a while to get your drink and then not one time we were there did anyone ever come back and ask if you wanted anything else, the rooms have a lot of wear and tear, marked up paint, peeling cracked bathroom doors, the water was super hot and the bed was comfortable tho! Room service food was better than buffet food some of the time but the room service cart going thru the hallway all hours of the night can get annoying tho if you are a light sleeper overall a good budget option just don’t expect a ton of variety with the food and a brand new room and you will be fine

We have never been at an all inclusive resort and we were very impressed from the food to the beverages. Everyone was hospitable at the resort. It was very relaxing and we could do as much or as little while we were there. Recommend doing an excursion, we had so much fun with the snorkeling. When we go back to Cancun we will definitely stay again at the Sandos Cancun.

Ive been to many all inclusives and this by far has been the most disappointing and expensive. Its very small and has no pool bar! They don’t play any good music and cut off music & drink service at the pool around 4:30pm everyday. There’s barely any entertainment and the food options were bad! We went will a big party and a good portion of us got some sort of stomach bug from the food. If you’re planning to go to Cancún I’d recommend to stay at any other resort
