As I travel increases this year, I ask myself this question, what is the purpose of a hotel? - A safe, good nights Sleep, and a comfortable, hygenic way to refresh yourself for the next day.
This Sheraton ticks my boxes for a good firm mattress, good water pressure and decent hot water, a ventilation system that could be customised to what I need to fall asleep (i need a cold room). The room itself is lovely, spacious, as is the bathroom.
Self parking is a little awkward if you don't know - drive 30m down the lane from the hotel entrance, turn left and left again into the multi story parking. Mind you, you have to go to go down, and the down direction half of the parking is mostly reserved for long term corporates.
Check in was friendly and seamless. Though check out took longer than desired due to the L plates on my receptionist, but kudos that "they" were both exceptionally friendly and apologetic.
Breakfast was good, not great. Like most hotel buffets these days, they seem to do the same old, same old, derivations of an English Fry up, toast station, cereal bar, fruit bowl and small yoghurt dishes. For a once or twice off it's fine, but for the regular traveller, I would like something more interesting. Next time I'll book without breakfast and go for a walk.
Happy to stay at Sheraton Little Collins again, and look forward to my next visit.
