    Our best stay in Tulum! Amazing Beach

    My only regret is that we stay there the last day of our trip. I wish i would known how nice the beach is there. Rooms are very nice with lots of space an amazing view. hot water AC.

    Wow! What an incredible property. You really are right up against a national park. The beach is very private—I was able to run along it singing my heart out with my music blasting and I didn’t see a soul. The caleta is a wonderful option for getting in the ocean in a protected space. The cenotes on the property are small but beautiful and peaceful. There’s a pool but with so many options, I didn’t use it!

    Not worth it

    Hotel is in desperate need of maintenance. It has a lot of potential, but paint is peeling, rebar popping out of the chipped off concrete, extremely old beds and bedding, furniture stained and uncomfortable, chairs ripped, I could go on and on. The airconditioning in the first room we had smelled awful; a strong ammonia-like smell, so awful that we needed to have our room changed. We found cockroaches in both rooms we stayed in. It's a hotel that looked like it was probably nice 10 or 15 years ago and no one has touched it since. As far as the grounds, they also have a lot of potential and some very pretty forest paths, but the pool was not cleaned at all during our stay. The beach is full of seaweed and unusable, but that is typical for the region at this time. The caleta in front of the property (rocked off portion of the sea) is very pretty, clean, and nice for swimming. The cenote on property is fine, an average open-air cenote.

    I can never say enough about how under rated this hotel is. I’ve stayed many places around Mexico. Caleta Tanka is serene. It takes my breath away every time. All rooms have the most amazing view! Staff are really helpful, kind and professional. The pool has recently been completely redone, they have been making many updates. The cenote in the jungle is private and you can snorkel to see many beautiful fish. Snorkelling can also be done right off the beach as there are also many colourful fish. My only regret every time I stay here is not staying long enough! Don’t hesitate, stay here and take in Mexico’s nature at its finest!

    This boutique hotel is by far my favourite place to stay I have been here often. Last year I left my daughters iPhone 7 in the room. I had already boarded my flight back to Canada but I promptly called the hotel and the front desk gentlemen retrieved it and put it into the safe. A few weeks later a friend picked it up for me and safely brought it back to Canada. I have never felt unsafe here. This was in the summer of 2019. This year the seaweed is much better. The shower has amazing water pressure compared to other place in Mexico. The view of the ocean is jaw dropping! Stay here!
