Disappointing, dated and tired
Unfortunately the images used to promote The Ridge are misleading. Our studio was extremely dated and tired, especially the kitchen and bathroom facilities. There was no feeling of luxury, mould on the bathroom ceiling and shower head leaking and spraying in all directions. The bed was reasonably comfortable, the air con worked well, and the room was visibly clean.

Basic and cheap
Basic and cheap for overnight stay from airport. Expect to pay $100 on top for cabs. Had to call police after witnessing a young woman in tears at the lift and her brute of a partner assailing her to return to their room in an expletive ridden discussion with her. No reception staff after hours and checkin took 10 minutes because of the process. I wouldnt stay again.

Not family friendly
Would not recommend. Photos advertised do not match the actual place. Room was noisy- street noise and from other rooms on the floor. Curtains were broken and did not close correctly. Dust still on surfaces. Bed was uncomfortable. Stayed for 4 nights and given 2 bars of small soap for four people, 2 small packets of dishwash liquid, 1 rubbish bag and no sink plug- complained and was given more. Things were broken around the apartment- clothes airer rack, curtain rail, shower door off hinges slightly. Open wires hanging off speakers. Stairs up into the hotel- had to get small children out of pram and carry them up as well as luggage. Not family friendly

Room had great view of the City. Comfy bed. Good location. Seemed to be very quiet. The not so good. Room was tired and in need of a makeover. No hot water 1st morning. No plugs in sinks. Unable to wash up. Extra security lock needed on front door. If the price is right would be a good place to stay.

In some its like reachable but latest apartment the microwave was very high imsgine hot liquid or bowl of hot food fslling down this must be changed for safety reasons! Why keep microwave so high up?

Property was in a good location and front desk staff were really great, helpful, and friendly. The common use areas such as the pool and gym were good too. However the rooms look nothing like the pictures - extremely outdated and run down, poorly furnished, and not clean at all. I had to dust and wipe down the furniture for it to be useable despite being told our room had just been 'cleaned' that morning. Sitting on top of the bed covers created a cloud of dust in the air. The bed and couch were very stained and dusty, the windows were dirty, the table and coffee table were dusty, dirty, and so marked up and run down I don't think the furniture has been updated since the hotel opened. The bathroom and kitchen were fairly clean however which was a plus. The photos need to be updated to give an accurate idea of your stay as I wouldn't have booked this place if I knew the truth, or the rooms need to be renovated and cleaned appopriately.
